JBones's Silver Bullet B6 S4

awesome man. im still in pieces trying to find time to finish up. if I could get one solid day in id be done.

sorry to jack the thread jbones. how many of those 100k miles are actually supercharged miles?

mdubz, have u givin that car the business yet?

Yeah I’ve redlined through 3rd gear quite a few times. Launching is so violent it’s hard to not short shift because I spin so long. 0-60 is really fast without a launch. Just can’t get traction lately as the weather has been too snowy not to mention I’ve pretty much killed my tires in maybe 10,000 miles. Sadly it was way faster in California when I left JHM and is a pig when the DA gets up around 10,000. Should be getting the new tune and pulley soon. After that I’m gonna do some logging and have that tune tweaked for the elevation up here.

Thank you and everyone else. That shift knob is fantastic! It is really worth the money. I have been driving the car more and more as of late since I got my winter tires on and the shift knob and stiffer push down spring really makes the car more enjoyable.

The oCarbon trim is nice. It has held up for a while and I get complements about it every time someone new rides in the car.

I had someone ask me how many miles I had when I installed everything and so I remember the exact mileage.

Also I have had someone really negatively ask me how many miles I had on the engine because he didn’t think that the BHF could hold up with the supercharger installed. He was a bit of a tool bag. At first I seriously thought that I had met Corbett in person since he was driving a C5 RS6 too.

Not going to drive this engine into the ground. I have heads, timing components, battery relocation kit, and other stuff sitting in the shed ready to be installed but it needs to warm up a bit first. My compression readings are good and the cylinder leakage is the lowest percentage that I have ever seen so my lower end is healthy.

Currently, I am waiting on when JHM will take my car for the built engine and stage 2 SC kit since they are not taking any more cars at the moment. I even have money set aside for the parts and install.

That’s awesome sauce! Man has money waiting to have beastly motor built!

so whats with no times up on the board jimmy?

That is awesome!
