Here is the event link that I know of

That would be AWESOME.

That is definitely a road trip where the S4 will be on a trailer.

Let’s do it road trip or ship the cars down (-:

Had to get a few things ready for my vacation. One of those things was to move the lightweight battery in the trunk. So I removed the big black storage piece behind the left side trim cover. Then drilled holes to mount the battery. It actually came out really well and now I can close the little door to hide the battery.

All this was done so that I could have a spare wheel and tire. While on this trip a spare wheel/tire is required.

That relocation looks great Jimmy! I’ll have to do the same with mine. Originally I tried to cut the black box to make the battery fit in it but I gave up and used the tire well. I’ll have to poke around in there to see where you drilled

i really like the relocation

Damn fine work, I will have to do the same now.

The battery is like the perfect size to fit in there for me at least. It is right up against the black fin looking piece and the joint for the sheet metal. I can take more pictures tomorrow when I have time because it was getting dark when I did this on Wednesday night. Also my car is such a basic model early 2004 (9/2003) that I only had the black storage box and the blue multiple tennis ball shaped vacuum tank back there. I did have to grind off a small stud that secures the wiring for the solenoid vacuum valve and then the battery sat low enough for the bolts to go through for the plate that goes across the top to hold the battery in place.

Been doing some driving lately. A few people have seen this already but I figured that I should share it here too.

hmmm Jimmy lives on East Coast, Jimmy is driving out west, last time Jimmy did this he came back with a supercharger. Am i on to something here?

More than likely.

I had the SC when I went out west last time. JHM knows that I want a built short block but this is just a vacation as far as I know. However a plane ticket from San Francisco to DC can’t be that expensive.
