What happens next Tuesday? I may have to drive down to see her fire upā¦lol
I am sure it is Gorilla strength since my boxing coach says it feels like he is hit with brick when I punch him in the face. He stopped letting me follow through with an elbow after I hit him the first time.
Even pros make mistakes but usually they can fix it easier/quicker so it is a smaller issue. I broke all sorts of stuff at the dealership like cracking a tail light housing when pushing the car into the shop.

That is my next day off from shooting people with toy guns. It is very close to being done so I can let you know if I think I will be cranking it or not should you want to make the drive. I have an alignment set up for Wednesday night so I hopefully have it done and tags on it before then.
Installing headers w8th the motor in the car puntching peole in the face akd shoot8ng at peole. That is like a easy afternoon for meā¦ knowing how talented you have to be to do the kinda woek thats happening here jimmyb is more prone to break stuff then we are. Bwing an audi tech he has a feel for everythingā¦ every bolt every wireā¦ chances are he can work on the car during a napā¦being super gorilla isnt helping im sureā¦ still most grest techs I know have what they call the toutchā¦ im assuming JimmyBones has it and if a part is jist weak or brittle its going to break if the part isnt then im betting he can tell the limitsā¦unless its an high pressure switchā¦
JimmyBones this looks great. Looks like you ninja trimmed the carā¦ so much for all the ney sayers saying you habe to cut up 1/2 th3 car to install the jhm supercharger
I went to the dealership to pick up the new parts today so I would have them ready to go on Tuesday. So I thought that I should check the parts before paying the cashier. Pulled the condenser out of the box to find it was broken the same way as my old part. That is hilarious! I hope it is not a trend of bad parts.
^ Bah! Smart to double check. That would have been like getting home from the drive-thru only to find out they messed up your order! LOL
Tonight I got enough of the engine together to crank it and it fired right up on the second try. BUT engine oil started pouring out on the passenger side of the engine. It was running under the alternator so I think that the oil cooler block off plate is leaking. Wooho the whole front end, SC, SC bracket, and alternator get to come out again for the third time so I can see if the o-rings are damaged or if the plate is warped. Oh well shit happens and it was great to hear the horses sing for a few seconds.
Also I got a call from Autotech Driveline just after lunch. Appearently the front LSD has been done for two weeks but the guy in charge of the new products has been on vacation. They mailed off the Front Wavetrac LSD today and it should be here next week.
Now I am going to clean up around the car and then pass out for another long day tomorrow.
Wednesday, I tore it apart again to find one of the oil cooler block off plate lines had come loose when I tightened the alternator bracket on. It pushed the elbow fitting to the side which loosened the AN fitting, whoops! So we fixed that and started it up again with no issues. It sounds great and I had the guy helping me take a video but he is technology challenged so the video is only one second long and I have to redo it.
Then I took the car on its first test drive where it felt great. The brakes need to be bled again since it is hard to get all the air out of the calipers and lines.
Now the bad news: When I was parking in my driveway I heard a loud bang and then transmission fluid poured out onto the ground. Something broke the case yay! At first glance it is on the right side in between the front diff and the main section of the transmission where the gears and shafts are. I think it is the front diff that broke but I canāt point the finger until I take it apart. Already went to the welding supply store to pick up some stuff to weld the case closed. Pictures will be up when I get it more apart. Oh the fun joys of modifying a car.
Now I have an inspection window to look at the front differential, YAY!

What caused the problem was the rod that holds the front differential side gears in place slid out of place while everything was moving. This is the broken rod and you can see that it chipped some of the ring gear teeth.

Also it messed up the pinion gear of the front differential.

It looks like I have my work cut out for me.
Ouch! What is supposed to hold that rod in place?
holy shit
Iāll volunteer my chassis and tranny to break in your motor and that superchargerā¦lol
Sorry to see this manā¦let me know if you need a hand

A pin on the other side.

Thanks for the offer but there is no break in needed for this motor and supercharger. Plus removing it all again for the fourth time on certain things would suck. Just getting the transmission cross-member out again was fun.
It started to pour with rain when we had only the last top two bell housing bolts to come out so that means it is time for a lunch break. There are a few other small things that I need to do too. Like bleeding the brakes again, lowering the front coilovers an inch and a half, and adjusting the blower outlet hose so it doesnāt rub on the bottom of the headlight.
What do most people set their coilovers to from the bottom of the fender to the ground? I was going for 25 1/8 inches since that is what the back is maxed out at. The front looked like a monster truck with the fenders up so high!
Holy smokes! That is a legit hole. That bang would have put my heart in my stomach. Then the visual would have made me poop my pants.

Thatās hilarious!
Ha, Iāve seen that video before. The peoplesā reactions are almost equally as entertaining.
Bro this stinks. Are you going to need a entirely new transmission. That jusy looks fucked
