JBones's Silver Bullet B6 S4

It’s about time somebody broke Ds record for the first place. None of the stage 2 cars seem to be doing it, for some odd reason.

I agree however there are not very many stage 2 cars to begin with.

As jimmy said there are only a small few stage 2 cars. I think we will see loads more in the next few years as it looks like JHMs motor program is ramping up. Ds record is strong and I think it will fall Jason at JHM wen’t like 11.0@130 with his stage 2 so I think its just time till another S4 guy does it. The rs4 cars all have the same blower set up and all kinda matches up with the stage 1+ so in theory if you can keep the power to the pavement the stage 1+ cars should be solid 11 second cars. I’m excited to see jimmy brake Ds record. If that happens I might need to sell my JHM nitrous system and get into the blower game.

It definitely sucks that I haven’t beaten that time yet. For the first year I had the car, it was in Denver, and there was just no way I’d break it there. Since I’ve been back in Chicago, almost 2 years now, it’s been one problem after the other; tune, ECU, transmission, electrical and mechanical cam adjusters, oil lines, alternator coolant line, radiator, pressure plate, 02 sensors, a/c, etc. On top of that, I’ve also had back surgery twice in the last year.

Believe me though, it’s a top priority on my list at this point. Once the pressure plate is swapped out in 2 weeks, I’m going to do everything I can to break the clutch in again so I can make it back to a drag strip before the end of the season. Unfortunately though, the Killer Chiller is just going to need to wait until spring because there’s just not enough time.

I came across something rather disappointing. JHM discontinued their Stage2/built motor program? Wtf True or rumors???

Where did you hear that. I would say unless JHM them selves posted it or made that public I don’t see that being true.

Ill let JHM confirm 100% but I was at their shop this week and anymore built RS4 motors sounds unlikely. After chatting about built motor pricing…I am out of the hunt anyway.

Obviously you would have to talk more to them. But I heard they will only condsider helping if you have a OEM spare block. I apprechate JHM doing long term testing and trying to make sure they have a quality built motor. These 4.2 motors are great but we all know they are the second all aluminum motors from audi and the first without sleves. So I would have to think its just crazy hard to get to work.

Hey JB, any strip events to bragg about yet? That #1 spot ain’t gonna beat itself

Right on, let’s hear about some progress at least ;D

Truth

Not yet. I have to find a way to get smooth traction and a consistent launch so I got an adjustable clutch delay valve. It goes in between the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder so that the fluid is restricted on the return. That way the clutch engagement is spread out over a longer period of time. After I get everything mocked up then it will only restrict the fluid flow in first gear or from a launch.
