there are tuning companies in the Audi world (and no other) who have made a career out of avoiding the dragstrip

the weird thing is when I see guys selling tunes for GTRs, Mustangs, Lamborghinis, Vettes, Porsches, Supras, AMGs, M cars, etc. they almost all back the dyno claims up with acceleration testing. They go to the dragstrip, they post 60-130, they post 1/2 mile times, they post lots of stuff. More than anything, they post 1/4 mile times.

For whatever reason, the Audi guys are ‘above’ the 1/4 mile and somehow get away with selling bullshit more than any other platform.

The best test of this is the domestic world. Sure europeans make great cars…but nobody is as mental about acceleration and power as the americans. And no platforms are as acceleration testing focused as the domestic performance cars. If you pull a jcon/solo/srm/whatever the fuck you want to call them now, and avoid the dragstrip and dodge accceleration testing, you are DEAD. You don’t last, because the market knows you’re full of shit.

well, putting buslengths (plural) on ‘the king’ means you win by 6 cars or more. Buses are about 45 feet long. S4s are around 15 feet long. So buslengths, aka 2 or more, means 6 cars in a street race.

6 cars in a street race is 3 or 4 cars in a dragstrip run

3 or 4 cars at teh dragstrip means 3 or 4 tentsh (the cars are going about 150 feet per second, aka 15 feet per tenth, aka 1 car length per tenth).

So he’s saying he will beat the record by 3 or 4 tenths? This is the company that has had 3 years to go to the dragstrip (Primetime started this thread in Jan 2013)…suddenly they’re betting $500 they’re the fastest?

This is what happens when you get B5 loosers trying to get into the B8 game. All it takes is going to any track to actually prove anything. So far all these guys are proving is that there 600whp slower then stage 1 car is a joke and that they can post on line but not back it up.

Lets for the sake of the argument say someonen. not these clowns was able to beat the best times out there with an off the road different tune. Even at that point that wouldnt prove anything. You need to compete against years of sucuess from APR and GIAC. Anyone can make a gun slinger tune that could blow up the motor REVO style.
