The more I look at this the more impressive it is to me. I think they’re gonna get a fair bit more out of this, and honestly, it just makes you realize how impressive his K04 time was! And someone called me crazy for wanting to swap cars with Jay on here, I knew if he was reviving the car, it was going to do something pretty damn special!

91 made a great point - if guruman is quick to accuse JHM of using nitrous it probably says something about guruman’s 10.5 time. Maybe he needed nitrous to get there thus he thinks anyone else in the 10s must have done the same.
We all know tuning these cars to go fast is not easy at all. Tuning turbos to make dyno power is a lot more do-able, but tuning them to rip through 1-2-3-4 and accelerate well is not nearly as easy. Most of these superstars require some trick to go fast.
marc/10secondS4 - 900 lbs of weight reduction, gutting the car to basically a shell dragcar
guruman - a few hundred pounds of weight removal including his bumpers, his catback, his downpipes, his interior and the fact the car started life as an A4. He also needed to push GT28s to 650 whp.
ozz - runs a completely gutted S4 with a completely worked over engine, gigantic turbos and a 250 shot of nitrous lol. Nuff said. On top of this, all of his fast pass times are on airfields, not proper certified dragstrips.
So you can see why people in the b5 community can’t grasp how jason’s car, with full interior including all 4 suede and leather seats, a killer sound system, all body panels in tact (lol what a luxury), full exhaust on the car, can go 10s. They’re just used to everyone sucking.
Look at the B6/7 world…people were accusing JHM of using nitrous to run 12.9 for fuck’s sake just because it was the fastest B6/7 in the world at the time. How funny is that? People knew they were working on a nitrous kit, and said they used it to go 12.9 because nobody else was even close. When they actually hooked up the nitrous kit a few months later, they went 12.2. When they installed the supercharger, they went 11.9.
Let me just leave this here if anyone wants to know the real secret. Let’s see if you can figure it out lol

He ran a 10.4 before he fucked it up snipping wires. One of my customers is the guy who tunes his cars now like the gt-r he has and was there for his 10.4 run.

Updated cliff notes… Guruman said something about kicking JHM’s tuner (LOL), apparently JHM created an alt account to argue with people, and based on this run their K04 run was clearly running nitrous or something… Man how many years has JHM been producing solid results and there’s still morons acting like this.
