JHM Beta review member 2

I know there are a few more JHM tuned cars out there and I know how dominate the JHM tuned cars are but I had a Uni chipped 3.0 in the past and I had a friend with a giac 3.0 and it was a waste of money for the programs and the gains or should I say lack of gains from them.

The giac tune my buddy had was ok it didn’t do much really but it seemed smoother not faster.

My uni tune just sucked. It tryed to make like 50,000,000 deg of timing and juiced the pedal a ton. So while the car felt smoother it was actually slower. So the pedal gave you a false impression of the car being faster but once you reached a certain pedal point the car didn’t get any faster. This kinda told the story. Up top the car made no more power then stock. Ive never known most of these chip companys to be very honest with there claims and as usual this continued to confirm it.

MY JHM tune however. BAM out of the box way better then stock way better then what Ive seen and had in the past. A true difference. Part throttle the response is much better. The throttle isn’t faked out or jerkey its littlerly right with you. The power is fully controled in the pedal. The car more then feels faster it is faster the acceleration now is very noticable its power on command. Its not just peak power the power uptop is night and day more then you would think. Still its more then that. The car feels funner to drive its more light on its feet still it will sprint on command when you want it to.

I don’t exactly know how to explain it. Its just constant power that never backs off. Most other tunes if they even do something just kinda ramp up quick and die off. Not the JHM Tune the JHM tune keeps pulling its like the car never peaks and falls off so its almost a luxurious hot rod kinda. Over all the car feels more alive and drivable its very eager to accelerate when you want it to but you can control the car soooooo much more now.

Im getting my performance Dp’s installed next week if I can get time. WE pulled out my stockers to test fit the new catless DP’s and there sweet looking. Im really exctied to see more as I didn’t think this much was going to come from the tune.

Ill report more back when I can.

THIS. It’s hard to put it into words, being technical about it just takes away from the actual experience. Very jealous that you will be running catless, I can’t imagine how much more power you are going to get out of it!

I liked the comparison to the other tunes. That should be helpful. I know JHM is the only company that actually has a individual from the OEM Sector that has calibrated for a living. Rather then some of the other companys the just have some guy adding timing and pushing the pedal to be more aggressive

Does anyone have the tune on a manual car??

Right now? Not sure, unless shawn’s is. It has been tested on the manual though, and it’s definitely better, way more low end power than the TIP one as they don’t have the torque converter to worry about.

Mine and the counts are autobots.

Somebody want to buy me the 3.0 tune so I can try it out on my 6MT?

Shawn are you getting a different set of DP’s or gutted stock ones?

Im getting the JHM units when they come out. There really trying to keep the price down but when you actually see your stock dp’s even if you remove the cat they still suck. There very small. The exhaust when I measured it was actually 2"

The other thing to consider is that servicing the car will be much better. The JHM Dp’s went in real nice and you have much better acsess to the bolts. That along with how hard it was to get the Stock units in and out. Im sold on the JHM units.

Great work shawn, the dp’s sound like they are coming along nicely -are the 2.5" and what size is the catback

I too would also like to know the specifications

x2. Also curious as to how it changes the exhaust note of the car.

Adding the dps on my car made a strong change in the exhaust note while adding a nice amount of power. AI did this after the tune switching back to stock tune would indacate that the tune makes the most of the exhaust

The Dp’s are going to be a 1 size fits all manual and auto and also the FWD cars.

2.5 with a neck down or a stay true for any aftermarket 2.5 catback. Your going to need the 2.5 catback with the 9lbs of boost out of the Vortech

Uhhh please explain your last sentence ;D

X2

haha x3

Lmao what a tease man
