Pretty awesome being in Zimbabwe and getting a JHM kit like this. Glad to see you’re getting great results even in the 90 degree temps. Any other mods to the car or previous fun cars & mods?

Hey man, its good to see you went to the track, there is some great numbers for your first run, better than mine!

There’s still probably 3 tenths in it for you. Bogged the launch a bit, and I think you can knock out some quicker shifts although that ricers fast can really drowned out the RS4.

WOW that was his best run. I knew it was hot over there and that time makes sense given I dont think they have many tracks out there but then to go 12.1@121 is a great improvement. Add one more to the list of great performing JHM stage 1 cars.
And thats a good question. Are there any actual tracks out there. Or are they all just road side tracks.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Ive had the kit in the car for a year now and loving it.
We had a chevy cobra ran an 11.1s on the day. He was using nos though. There are lots of Modified Subaru’s in this part of the world due to their cheap import price. Guys go crazy with the mods and we have a few running low 12s.
Sadly we don’t have any specific drag strips here as we race on an un-prepped surface on a race track. The da doesn’t help as well as the weather so i guess we loose about a 0.5 to 1s compared to your tracks.

The car has a 2.5inch exhaust all the way to the factory back box. Running standard road tyres and factory suspension. For this run i pulled the back boxes off hence the epic sound!
Im eagerly awaiting the charge cooled upgrade from JHM which would really help me along.
I did feel the heat on my trip to the other track without the air-con but my plan is to now get rid of the condenser radiator when fitting the charge cooler rad.
Im running a stock clutch which may need replacing soon
There is a guy in South Africa running the APR 1740 kit that I would like to go and race once im charge cooled.

There are a couple in SA with that setup. One of them may have sold his rs4 and bought an r8.
Another one blew his engine after a month with the kit.
I think he bought a new engine. Wonder if he stuck with it or if he has moved on.
@ Denrs4 - The car in the white ran a mid 11 that day so yeah, he caught up and beat me to the line.
Think he goes by the name Biscuit. He got it running again and just took part in a 1km run. He just fitted a JHM clutch to the car recently.
For shits and giggles I ran in 90F a couple summers ago and lost a full second.
It’s horrible!
