really excited to get this under way because Nick is a down to earth person that is willing to learn and invest time into this platform. We started tearing her apart and cleaning it up. Didnt want to bolt up all these brand new parts onto a filthy motor lol.
Ill update this post as we go. in the end we’ll strap her up to our dyno for all you knuckle heads that love dyno #'s so much to get an idea of what she puts down.
Heres some pics to start

Did he/you go with the new 5R pressure plate for the clutch kit, or the RS4 pressure plate? Not sure if JHM updated all the PP on their kits or just the 5R clutch kit.
From what I understand (JHM can correct me if I’m wrong) but the stage 4 kit comes with the OEM RS4 PP and the R series (1, 3 and 5) come with JHM’s custom PP.
I STRONGLY advise going with the R series clutch if you’re supercharging. STRONGLY. Just from personal experience. Now if JHM’s stage 4 kit comes with their new PP, then it’s not a concern anymore but I haven’t heard of them doing this (or if it’s even possible).
Because the RS4 pressure plate can run into problems with high revs or high power/torque. Generally B67 cars with the JHM 3/4 kits are just fine, however when you go to RS4 revs of 8200 or you supercharge, the RS4 setup isn’t always happy. It’s not for everyone of course.
a couple people, including myself, have experienced intermittent issues with the pedal sticking or not returning fully on hard pulls due to the PP. IIRC most never have this issue but the R series seems to be a better option. The RS4 PP that comes with the Stage IV kit is a SAC (self adjusting clutch) and the new R series is not. Anyone know if the R pressure plate can be used with the stage IV disk? Jake?
