Definitely looking great. Always nice when you can get something from a PO looking like that.
Keep her lookin good!

I couldn’t agree more.
A lot of time and love has gone into this car. I intend to continue the trend.
Here is a quick vid to share the exhaust note.
I wasn’t focused on the camera at all, simply catching the sound so headphone up and listen, don’t watch if you get motion sick. it’s all for the sounds.
Hipstamatic FTW.
yup, I mostly love the hipstercam - I promise a full shoot of the car is coming soon and will feature a real camera…
Also, does anyone have experience with, or currently have installed the JHM 93+ tune? Also, does anyone have the lightweight flywheel package in their car?
curious about how the car feels and what the JHM mod gets you in addition to performance boosts?
You’ve got lots to learn young padwan. 99% of people who buy a tune for their S4 get a JHM tune because it’s proven.
Study this chart:

^^^ PES S/C = LOL
PES and VF were lol. They were both slower than my downpipes/catback/tune car and cabracco’s piggies/catback/tune car. Ridicufuckinglous that people got conned for $10,000 for that junk.
I have the JHM LWFW/clutch combo - car revs faster, and clutch is definitely compatible with daily driving. During the shitty snow we had traffic was slow and the clutch was no worse than my previous A3 TDI.
B6JoeS4 - that’s an awesome table. I’d seen it elsewhere before getting into the new rig, thanks for posting it.
I am excited and eager to learn more about this platform and look forward to the knowledge share that comes from strong communities committed to safe performance development.
Sakimano - I too am very surprised at the prices for what seems to be a “cost to hp gain” wash…
Bongoman - Thats really good to know, what mileage did you make the change and did you find that it was cost effective? I mean, is your experience worth the cost? (not worried about costs just curious about the ‘value add’.)
Thanks for the support, links and insights into my new toy.
Fixed it for you lol Just kidding around, saki maintains the list for us over here and justincredible over on AZ. Just so you know, unlike all the other platforms, the times are verified by timeslip and video and/or witness.

The clutch was cost effective as my clutch broke at 138000 km (85000 miles). I wore it down to the rivets The car wouldn’t move anymore and I needed a new clutch.

If I’m honest, I never even looked into the costs of an OEM repair/replacement/whatever. I must’ve been the only person to be happy at smoking a clutch because I knew a call to JHM was pending. The clutch kit was around $1500. Other things worth doing for minimal extra labour (whether your own or someone else’s) - exhaust/downpipes (mine were already done), short shifter trio ($470, so worth it), upgraded transmission mount (can’t remember off hand).
The labour was about 15 hours for all of the above which I would’ve had to pay anyway. So yeah I spent about $3200 all said and done. The result - a car that not only can move forwards under its own power, but is the free revving driving machine it should’ve been out of the factory.
This is the nice way to put it.
Imagine how many people they would have conned if we all weren’t there spreading the truth and informing people of the shit those kits are. What I love the most is that vf sold maybe what, 4 kits total that we know of? And two of them were heavily discounted to todeshandler aka Brian Henderson from Rotiform and gangster ass ngng who both of those were given such discounts in order to spread the lies and con people out of their money.
hey…I was almost one of the first guys to get conned by VF
I asked for ‘proof’ i.e. quarter mile timeslips or pulls between cars I knew of and their VF car. The only running VF car was Todeshandler and he was busy all the time.
Then they got the kit on another car (big daddy i believe) and were going to go to the strip.
THen they said ‘awww, the car couldn’t hold all the power (clutch) so we’re going to get an aftermarket clutch in and go back next week’
Then they said ‘clutch is in, we’re going this week!’
then they vanished. I shit you not, that was the last ever post by VF ENGINEERING on teh Audizine B6/7 S4 forum. IT was Nik I believe all excited.
I later found out they did go…they did run 13s…and that’s when they abandoned trying to market the kit to us. They sold some to the RS4 guys who were at the time mostly first owners with deep pockets and limited 'show me the proof vigour. Then when the RS4 guys figured out what the S4 guys had figured out, VF went cold on the RS4 kits too. THey stuck with the R8 kits selling and reselling through Stasis.
I have to thank 91gl, justincredible, jfunkey and the boyz for slapping me in the face and basically asking me ‘are you fucking crazy? DO NOT trust these guys’. Without them I’d have bought that kit. Instead, I at first thought they were just being dicks (like everyone else)…because I wanted the kit to be legit, and they were pissing on my campfire. Of course they were protecting me. Then I said fuck this, called JHM, got tune/piggies/FI catback/LWCP and loved the car. I went to the dragstrip and ran 13.21 @ 107.3 and was FASTER mph than Todeshandler’s VF SC B7 S4 Avant (107.0) …but I spent $2500 and his kit cost $10,000!
Wow. Another year later got 2.5" downpipes and JHM’s updated tune with launch assist, and ran 12.9 @ 107.9. Fuck those scammers at PES and VF. It makes me mad when people reject my warnings. I can only imagine how annoyed justin/jfunk/91 were when I wasn’t listening and was defending VF lol.
Those were the good old days hahahaha
If my account on az wasn’t terminated, I’d see if I still had the convo I had with Nik when the vf kit was a joint affair with awe and still in beta stage, before JHM developed it’s first products for us other than the shifter, Looking to purchase and test the kit on my own car. A few quattroworld fan boys had gone in a ride in the awe b7 avant with that blower and were telling me how insane it is. Thank God for justincredible to pm and email me a video of his auto b6 running low 13s at 107 with basic bolt ons and helped me realized the people that are claiming it being so fast have no idea what performance is and what scam artists vf is. I owe a lot to him.
It puts a smile to my face to now see when people even mention those kits, They cringe. Love it! Tool a lot of arguing to get through to some
Just so you know, unlike all the other platforms, the times are verified by timeslip and video and/or witness.
Oh c’mon. Everyone knows dyno tested WHP is a better performance measuring stick than 1/4 times. Haha. Right 91?
When I first joined AZ I was surprised how skeptical all you guys were of products venders were trying to sell us. Over time, I figured out why. There’s a lot of businesses trying to sell us junk. Its a damn shame. So, much thanks to pretty much all you guys on AR. I definitely would’ve ended up with some BS bolted to my car without your advise.
Yup, 1/4 mile isn’t a true portrayal of performance, only the dyno is lol.
Look at everyone who bought those kits and tell us what they drive now. Other than ngng who is completely mindless jack ass, they have all sold their cars and abandoned the platform. If the car was as fast as they said and defended, why not keep it? Look at the b5 guys, when they have a good running stage 3 plus car, the majority tends to stick with it.
My newest mission is the B7 RS4 forum. The RS4 forum is right where the S4 forum was 2 years ago, and it’s the same thing over there. I state my argument and state some facts and the fanboys like RS4NoPower, Benjamin Tobias Steigerwald, Koolade9, and some other guys just jump on my throat for being a jealous S4 owner.
It just takes time. You can’t completely disprove a product and change the trend in 1 thread. It takes arguing the same thing over and over in different vendor’s threads to get your point across. For example, in the thread on AZ about the Capristo system, JohnnyAlQueda, Mgbt72, and I were able to convince the OP that the Capristo system is sub-par. He is now seeking 2.75" options. So now he will buy 2.75, hopefully run some good numbers, and then other guys will see it.
Theres always going to be ignorant jackasses like RS4NoPower that think their shit don’t stink. You just have to make them look like an asshole to get past them.

You weren’t the only one Saki. I was going back and forth with them for a while when I first heard of the kit and expected something good. My main reason for thinking this is because I had their kit on my VR6 and it performed. After seeing the specs on the kit and some of the early results I was disappointed. What got me was an email they sent me just before the kit was being released to the public stating it produced 400whp. I asked if they made updates to the kit and the answer was no. At that point I told them I would hold off until seeing some real world results.
Icanfly,
Car looks great! love the exhaust video and the modifications done to the car are a great start ( your gonna want more, trust me haha)
As for the clutch, Ive driven Jasons (@ JHM) B6 S4 with the supercharger on it with the Stage 4 Clutch and LWFW combo. I have also driven his B5 S4 with the same clutch. I personally own the clutch/lwfw combo on my B5 S4 as well. The set-up is great! I have a review here:

My car is almost ready to go back together after my motor blew ( failed oil pump ). I have about 5,000 miles on it and the clutch didnt even have indication of it looking used, and I beat the crap out of my car haha.
Glad you got a well equipped and gorgeous cars, Welcome and enjoy your stay.
