Dude, tell me about it. I had some asshole tell me I had “penis envy issues” last week because he got pissed when I told him his PES kit was garbage.

that wasn’t even his car either lol.

that guy was just a jackass elitist RS4 owner. Chequebook enthusiasts who are trying to buy envy from the other platforms. It’s pretty funny when it doesn’t go their way…they’re just shocked and they lash out all crazy like.

noznab your response to that guy was one of the funniest things I’ve ever read on the forums.

Here’s the exchange for those who missed it. Noznab pointed out the simple facts to someone talking about keeping a supercharger ‘in boost’…no idea why the guy was asking that when it’s boosted by the engine. He also addresed the size issue with the PES and APR kits. Anyway, here’s the exchange…

Do you understand how superchargers in general work? They don’t “boost” like turbochargers.

In regards to your friends PES kit, the blower itself is physically too small for the motor. If you search you will find that blower is commonly used on 6 cylinder cars. The “custom tune” most likely isn’t making much more power than before. While the torque might “hit hard” all you’re really doing is shifting the graphs around.

What version of the APR software are you running? They had a great tuner from JHM recalibrate their software a while ago and went from running high 12s to high 11s. I doubt there is even that much left in that blower, iirc it’s only 1.3L
Wow Nozab, I can feel your anger from here! Deal with your penis envy and them come back here and provide some useful information instead of deflecting your inadequacies onto others. You’ ll never get past your small penis issues unless you address them head on. I deal with patients like you daily and I want you take comfort in knowing that, through intensive therapy, it will get better.
Sorry, no anger here and is a shame you took it that way. It gets old seeing people reccomemd products that dont perform to others. It’s this kind of misinformation that keeps the community from growing in the right direction. So me correcting you and providing a better alternative is useful information–no need to get butt hurt

So you’re a urologist, huh? Let me get this straight… I have penis envy issues when you’re the one fondling cock and balls all day… Right…
LMAO! ^ hahahaha, so much win.

lol, I’m sick of trying to help/correct people only to have them get all butt hurt. No one read any stickies or searches for anything. Especially a lot of these new RS4 guys, no offense but too many of them have more money than brains. On top of that theres the borderline asinine posts by people such as cough cough rs4 tony.

As much as I would like to see the community on this forum grow, I secretly hope that none of those people from AZ ever make it over here. lol

I agree with you 100% Noznab. Way too much drama over on AZ. We have a great crew of guys here that are friendly and want to help as much as we can. This site will grow with knowledge and thats great.

lol that’s the catch 22 of a new forum when you want to get away from the retards and scam artists…

The nice thing here is that idiocy gets trumped by logic.

Seems like AZ is more of a screening process for here than anything. ;D

I just wanted to make a statement.

JHMotorsports - Totally Professional, Totally Passionate and Totally Awesome!
It was important for me to get a post up in regards, and before you go asking all about it… it’s just a simple statement, those guys are pro.

that is all.
also, great community, it’s a pleasure to be the new kid on the block.

Quoted for the absolute truth

Tell me about it, those RS4 guys are just flat out dumb and ignorant. I feel like RS4power is not all there if you know what I mean

But what do we know, we have s4’s

I wouldn’t say that about all RS4 owners :frowning:

hahaha

but I know what you mean. Lots of the RS4 world is very ego driven. They get real testy when you question their decisions. Most of the original owners paid $80,000 for the car, so have seen some success in business etc. and don’t get called out on their decision making too often. That’s my theory on why they lose their shit.

Case in point, if you get a 22 year old with a B6 S4 that has a 2.2" catback on it and you point him to the 2.5" success, it goes pretty well usually. They learn, they move on. When you do it to an RS4 owner about their 2.25" capristo, it’s an instant backlash and lots of insults, name calling and references to ‘prestige’ and ‘exclusivity’, words that mean fuck all in the performance world, but mean lots in the chequebook enthusiast world.

It’s pretty funny.

Yeah I’ve dealt with all manner of those folks. We just say “they have more dollars than sense”. Having a fat wallet doesn’t mean that you have any clue about your car, or how to drive… It’s strange to me how many people I meet that think because they can afford the high-end that they know how to handle the high-end.

Ego will kill you.
Kill all ego.
Be proud of your success if you’ve earned it, but maintain humility or you’ll never find respect amongst your peers.

and really, just don’t be a dick, there’s always someone smarter than you are.

WORD

Boston based photographers wanted.

I left my photographer in florida.
Want to shoot a well prep’d S4?
Reach out.

I’d prep the car and be available for a day’s worth of shooting if someone wanted the practice. I’d only ask for copies of the pictures.

please advise.

post pics so we can determine if it’s ‘well prepped’ or not

Agreed

Here’s a link to the 1st page of this thread containing pictures of his car: http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=430.0

;D

Thanks for that Apat.

I appreciate that the term “Well-Prepped” can be very subjective.
That’s part of why I am searching out a photographer as my initial shitty iphone pics caused everyone to say “nice car, shitty pics”.

Hence the request for better pics.
So, anyone up for a shoot?

lol I got confused as to what thread I was in. Audirevolution is really blowing up. Used to be 20 of us discussing deep technical stuff about the 4.2. Now there are 300something members, replete with B6 A4 guys, B5 S4 guys and even a few trolls. It’s official…this is now a forum.

no worries, I assumed that was the case…

Communities grow and grow, I just hope this continues to be a more serious and professional forum than some of the other places I’ve been.

Thus far it’s been great!
thanks to everyone for being rad.
