Theoretically yes but vagcom does not always like to take those codes. FT has euro seats, maybe he would be helpful. I guess you could also just put in a resister to trick the car right?

See thats what i was thinking, I did get in touch with FT, and to be honest he wasn’t to much help, he told me what I had already known with the swap, as for his setup he swapped stock buckles over, and had the pressure plate swapped to the seats when he had the Recaro’s wrapped, he just referenced Nicks car blog, and to work through the codes in vagcom, he also told me to pull the covers back and to check for plates, but on the buckets its quite a bit of work to actually be able to pull the bottom covers up. not to sure if he realizes that? you actualy have to take the backs off and almost strip the whole seat down to get them off.
I still appreciate the info he did give, just unfortunately it didn’t help me out.
as for a resistor, that is an option but i would have no idea of what resistance to put in?

Well I must apologize for my backhanded ways, it seems I hurt the almighty FT by posting this comment, I hurt him so much in fact, He felt the need to send me an angry message, take a few jabs about how my car was having problems pinging, and add me to the blacklist on his Instagram and Facebook, Oh no i cant follow the almighty leader what shall I do with my life…

I really had no idea people were so childish? ??? also FT was very adamant that I would have to swap bladders, and there was no other way of doing this job, coughcough bullshit coughcough, I recoded the front seats, and everything seems to be working properly, did some digging and found these sites, hopefully they are useful for anyone else! I still have a few other vagcom tweaks I’m doing but I’m hoping by tonight I should have it fully recoded.

After the post I linked, scroll down and read through: ( not sure on what Recaro’s he’s installing here, but he also mentions in this thread that he found on a french forum that the Recaro or F1 seats as called on the french forum, did not come with pressure plates/switch, Occupancy sensor. ) - I believe they are talking about the bucket seats though.

He is very easy to upset and has a vendetta against JHM because their customers make fun of him and he can’t go head to head…so he weasels around and brings up JHM conspiracies. I have a PM full of his JHM conspiracy theories. Hopefully when he needs that motor built JHM will tell him to fuck off.

The funny thing is that he is a member here, but won’t come here to post anything. He has been proven wrong and has looked foolish a million times, then he goes quiet for a while.

I wonder if he just trolls here or if someone else in this thread ran and told him. In my mind you said nothing wrong, all you said was he didn’t offer and help and probably paid to have most of the work done, which so far that looks to be what he does.
