Love how this guys runs nearly the exact same time as me in nearly a 750ft better DA trapping 2mph less on 100, intake, and exhaust, but yet some how destroys an APR tuned car on 91 with the same mods… I bet he was on 100… He has a vested interest to make GIAC look better since he sells for them and has stickers all over his car…

Made the same post on that other forum, but no he isn’t advertising for GIAC w/o paying now is he… LOL

I offered him a friendly wager to see who runs better times next year… Will see if he takes it?

Man what a sham. I don’t think anyone will be fooled by this. I agree its a very weak attempt to try and sway the last place GAIC into some sort of respect.

If the GAIC ran slower in the 1/4 mile then a off the roll race wouldn’t look like that unless the apr car was on a non race tune. This dosn’t amaze me at all. Thanks for putting this up prime. Seems more and more that there is a need to pad the stats. It would be nice to see these guys step up to the plate and run you.

While I can’t afford to. I would pay to have your car go run all these guys. This way we can get some real idea on whats going on. The good thing is that the track results stand for hard to brake facts. After what we have seen at the track. There is proof that something doesn’t add up and the GAIC guy is most likely a unhonest addition

first of all two things. where the fuck is saki… lol and second. i still firmly believe that APR will be the way to go. i will put money on the fact that once the heat and humidity are back those two tunes will suffer. the apr retards things enough on its own that it still runs in a very much OEM way. the other tunes are forcing the car to run harder, so come heat, humidity, ALTITUDE all of a sudden they’re losing power. they are requesting the same amount of boost as the current apr stage 2 and when it comes time for a pulley, i fear that the other two will start seeing more hardware related issues. im still waiting for some solid apples to apples comparisons. i think we need to put all three cars all in dsg into rons hands for some definitive answers because shy of that this annoying pissing match will just go on like it has for many years. i just cant handle anymore of the dumb question on the Zine, if i hear “is this tune not for me?” one more time i will bash in the monitor with my head

GIAC - What really cracks me up is there is one guy(this Tyson dude) with the tune and he is a distributor for GIAC… He runs a great time with 100 tune, intake and exhaust but I have already ran that time with the same mods over 1 year ago… I also out 60 footed him, had a better trap by about 2mph, and it was done in a worse DA… After that is pointed out he brings up this video of him killing an APR tuned car and supposedly they both have the same mods and are running 91… The tunes can’t be that much different so my bet is that he was on 100 in order to help market the GIAC product as being superior to APR… The only proof we have that this is not the case is someone who just joined AZ to basically cooberate his story… Sorry but I don’t buy that… I have tried to engage him on QW and AW but anytime I ask any real questions he goes away… He won’t share logs either… Also, still haven’t seen his dynos posted?

Revo - I have seen 3 or 4 runs posted and only 1 of them was good and it was by Auditude… Everyone else who ran was no where near his time, granted his DA was like -1300 or so… My guess on his times is that it was 100 tune… If you look at my times from when I had just 100 tune and intake I ran a 12.38… Given his past behavior and support of kevkev, not to mention other things that Saki has pointed out I don’t believe his times… I looked at his logs and his timing seems more in line with a 100 tune vs a 93 but I have only seen his logs so maybe Revo is just running that much more timing?

Some of the comments on AZ are just stupid… Most of those clowns have never been to a dragstrip yet think they know what they are talking about… Oh well…

yea im not calling my self a track expert by any means but ive been in the audi scene since 04 so i consider my self to be educated on most things audi and have seen this shit many times before on every single platform

lets start with the guy tyson. He is full of shit. He tryed to pump everone into thinking his VF supercharged car was fast and that we was building these HUGE project S4/RS4 cars with GIAC and VF. He said he beat a zo6 Vett. in the end everyone siad the cars were piss slow and he ended up loosing the battle of trying to tell eveyone how fast they were. He never took them to the track and ended up selling them.

This video is the biggest pile of lies Ive ever seen. The ACTUAL facts the 1/4 mile tells us this isn’t factual. The care are too close on 91 to have this be the case. Its more dishonest attempts by obviously self serving people to try and advance there goals by deceving the general public. If the cars have never been tested in a actuyl 1/4 mile test and given us REAL data then I Wouldn’t say this. Turns out we ACTUALLY know how close these cars are in compairson.

The simple facts is these cars have been shown to go just as fast when raced down a actual 1/4 mile. This has been shown time and time again. This video just shows that 1fast.com is a liar and will do what ever he can to promote himself and what he is looking to sell.

haha indeed. Auditude has his own long list of failures. He’s claimed all sorts of shit and then turns out just be forum pimping. I don’t believe anything he says. Tyson is a new guy to all the B8 guys, and most of the B8 guys simply don’t want to listen to anything the B6/7 guys have to say b/c we’re not sophisticated enough to understand the 3.0T and our cars are slow pigs, saki’s a prime example of this.

I feel most all of the tunes out are going to be pretty damn close to each other right now. I strongly agree though that the Revo 1/4 time doesn’t match up at all with those videos. If it was edging out the APR car, that’d be one thing. But it looks like stock vs tuned almost. Maybe the APR car was on race gas but had stock map turned on haha.

The REVO time that Auditude posted - I’d bet most anything he was on race gas or a good mix of race gas. Last I knew he (Pete) had an A4, his Dad had an B8S4. I’m not sure if Pete bought an S4 himself.

I actually bought my Tubi mufflers from his father. After all the stories i had heard about Pete on the forums I was hesitant about the transaction so I said I would only do it in person. I also told him that if I made the trip to his house and he didn’t actually have the Tubi’s or if something was shady with them we would have a problem, lol. Turns out they were indeed brand new in the box and his Dad was there for the transaction etc. Nice kid in person but he doesn’t have the cleanest record on the forums. Don’t know why he gets himself into these situations…

Tyson - everyone here has already posted what I would have. I wouldn’t believe a single word that guy says. There is no doubt in my mind that race was not apples to apples.

first off I would like to say quattroworld sucks and I hate the site the colors and the layout. Not to mention most of the guys that go there seem to be jokes anyway.

After reading that post and then searching his name on AZ… turns out I wouldn’t believe any of it. APR has a rep for being a little softer of a tune so I can see why most people are buying into this. Still as its been said. The post maker seems to be not ligit and the video isn’t backing up any of the facts.

Just caught up on all the tuning drama here myself (GF has her drama tv shows I have Audizine forums :P). The thought process of these guys is ridiculous. I don’t see any one tune blowing another out of the water. GIAC S1 is running identical to APR S1 with the same gas and supporting mods.

The fastest REVO car, the company who keeps arguing with them, only has 1 posted 1/4 mile time and its only 12.4. Gas, mods, etc who cares, 1/4 mile times don’t lie. On even playing field any tune will run almost the same as the other. And at the end of the day APR still has the fastest car (primetime) which no other company is close to.

This BS GIAC video is even worse, it doesn’t prove anything, and in my eyes just discredits them. There is not that much of a difference between an apr and giac tune on even playing field, as has been proven so far. Thus clearly the video is not comparing 2 equally equipped cars.

And QW sucks big time, I get a headache trying to read posts on there.

This really is a great post. It sums up everything. I Really agree. Having video proof that both cars are of the same performance levels and then to show a potentially dishonest video that completely shows something different, really raises more questions about the GIAC tune and the video taker and there honesty then if GIAC has a better tune or not.

I don’t really think it’s so far fetched that the GIAC car would walk the APR car. You guys are forgetting a few things

  1. the APR tune was written 18 months ago when they couldn’t figure out how to change hardly anything without the tune going into protection mode. So, all they really changed was boost, and maybe a couple of other tiny things. Why do you think DSG cars were going into limp mode in stage II? Because APR didn’t know how to adjust that threshold when the tune went live, and had to learn it in a hurry (i.e. pay for information). There are lots of changes that should have been made but they just didn’t know how. Remember last year when APR said ‘the throttle response is perfect so we didn’t change it’. I’ll tranlsate for you. They meant ‘we don’t know how to change it without the ECU resetting boost back to stock, so we’ll ignore throttle till later and give you guys the boost to redline for now’.

  2. the GIAC tune was released this month, with the boost request change as well as throttle, timing, and whatever the hell other trickery goes into writing a tune. The extra 18 months cost them hundreds of customers who are already APR tuned, but it enabled GIAC (and revo) to incorporate lots more changes now that more is known/cracked in the ECU’s security, and those changes are the reason the REVO and GIAC cars will walk the basic 2010 vintage APR cars.

  3. APR too has these same updated changes in store and have had for months now…but didn’t need to update anyone because there was zero competition. Now they have to, and as a result you can get the APR update.

Bottom line is not all tunes are created equal. This video below is a JHM b7 s4 with 2.5" catless exhaust vs. a GIAC car with 2.5" catless exhaust. The JHM car absolutely walked the GIAC car. Nobody accused the JHM car of being on race gas. Nobody accused the JHM car of cheating. It was just simple…all else being equal, a better tune means you win races. As you can see from this video, GIAC isn’t exactly awesome at tuning. Just imagine a JHM tuned 3.0T car :open_mouth:

It’s just the person who’s making these videos isn’t credible. Tyson is a fat punk, he pulled the same shit with vf. If I have a b8, I’m with apr, the version 2.0 calibration coming for the 3.0 will put apr easily again at the forefront just like it helped with the 2.0 tsi

Very true tyson is a retard who was caught lying about the capabilities of his VF/Giac supercharged rs4 (he legendarily claimed he pulled on a c6 z06, only to disappear from the forums when pressed for video)

Still, I think people are over-reacting. Giac/apr/revo etc will all be boost to redline and a couple of small changes. Same old same old from these guys.

Yes that is true but of the three apr is the only company to offer performance products to accompany their tunes. I’m positive within 2012’s end we will see or will be hearing of a supercharger upgrade from apr for the 3.0t. That will certainly take back many customers that chose to give revo or giac a try.

the only refrence to this being a possible lie is the fact that so far all the tunes seem to have the exact same results. the track resuts say the cars are all about the same performance. this video seems to be a contriduction of the actual track facts that we have
