SO I know you haven’t heard much from the performance aspect of whats going on for the 3.0 me and others have been quiet about it.Comming soon will be what we have been excited to find out but didn’t want to talk about till we all had some more solid data.
A few questions I have. We know and respect the 1.8T guys but we are doing our own 3.0 thing here and we are all excited about it so just for reference sake what are the recorded 1/4 mile times for the 1.8T guys. for the stages 1/2/3
B6 only I assume? I can look them up when I get out of the plant

Stage 1: 16.16 (Bische, time recorded on a G-Tech pro)
Stage 2: 15.71 (Awadd9, he also ran a 15.1 with a K04)
Stage 3: 14.16 (Jet Jockey, K04 powered tuned by MTM. He also ran a 13.3)
Fastest BAT is 12.1 by Clint.
yeah 12.1 @ 116mph for Clint, I think that should be the goal for a shop car with full 2.5" catless exhaust, clutch/LWFW, LW pulleys, some mounts, LW wheels, and a blower
Really?? Those times seem a bit slow. I was under the impression it was more like 15/14/13… although thats probably what they all say they CAN run, and not what the actually do run.
So how’s the list look anyways?
S1 - Tune
S2 - Tune, exhaust, other bolt ons
S3 - K04
Then BT is everything bigger than a K04?
iirc some of the GT28 guys were high 12’s?
Hmm, that makes sense then. In was thinkings stage 3 was BT, so like gt28 or something… but if it’s K04 then those numbers make more sense. Yea I’m pretty sure gt28’s can run 12s. A guy in our local audi club has one and I felt like my car wasn’t moving when we did a few pulls lol.
That’s about right all the stage 3 cars I’ve seen have been in the 15.2-14.5 I’ve never seen a stage 3 car go into the 13 range. I think jet did this but that was massive weight drop and a bigger turbo.
The bat guys are all over the place. The most of them are low 14 mid 13 range. There are less then 5 12 sec 1.8t b6 guys out there that I know of

Thats the problem with the 1.8t no one knows exactly how fast they are.
Maybe someone could pm Clint or a4thchhhh and ask them what their times were at different stages. Those guys are really the only ones who take their cars to the strip.
Zingo maybe ask 7speed, he should know as well since he has been through most of the stages
oh man, being quiet must be a good thing. 3.0 must be getting some performance love then.

Jets 13 run was when he was super gutted. I remember thoes posts on Audiworld at the time. I would take what clint and dave have to say with a grain of salt. While they are the only two to seem to have put lots of time into there cars they also seem to be some of the biggest avacats not super excited about the 3.0 and they have a little better vision of the 1.8T tyen it is.
All in all most cars seem to be no faster then say mid 14’s for a stage 3 car.
The bat cars are all over the chart
13 seconds for a car that is under 2 liters and weighs as much as it does with tiny turbo is impressive…while I agree that those guys would not be much help to our program they have the info we need…
Yeah thats when they don’t have boost leaks, slipping clutches, broken gearboxes, oil leaks and who knows what else …lol

Stock 1.8T B6 A4= 16.6- 17.0
Stage 1 = 16.3-15.9
Stage 2 15.8-15.5
Stage 3 15.2-14.7
Stage BT = low 14’s - very high 12’s range
The BT guys do well but they are not a large enough group to establish what performance is to be gained. Some of these guys are running better tunes and hardware

I don’t know of any BT cars over a gt28 that don’t have problems all the time. These numbers are quite interesting though. I think too much time on AZ has skewed my perception of their performance.

as a non interested party i decided to look at the times best I could via Audiworld and AZ. Turns out the B6 1.8T guys think there faster then what they ever are. Seems like a buntch of bentch racing going on.
From what Ive seen most stage 3 and stage 3+ cars are 14 sec cars. the rest seem to be all over the board but the times posted as refrence seem to be the actual times I found.

I think the perception of faster comes in when members go say that there stage 3 car went… 14.9 and then say they had a bad clutch or there was a boost leak and then members chime in saying that the car is a solid 13 second car when its barley a 14 second car. I think the stage2+ race Vs the stage1 JHM 3.0 proved what we all knew to be true. If the stage 2+ cars were all that fast most guys would have said there is no way thats possible
