Big belt
It finnaly starts
Now i need some help…can anyone name this pipe…it didnt exist on my original engine
Where does it lead to on the engine? Tracing it to that point will tell you exactly what it is for…way better than any of us can. It’s more than likely a vacuum line, but is could also be a small coolant line.
Its a vacuum line thats comes of the back of thr intake manifold…but i have no where to plug it into an australian car…remember the motor came form the us
Awesome! Props.
If you don’t need it then pull it off where it enters the IM and cap it off with a cap like this…
I usually clamp a cap like that down with a good zip tie so it doesn’t fall off or leak.
Do it right or do it twice! Ghetto mods and fixes are for the Zoo.
Lout- Here is a link to a online ETKA, I’m not too familiar with it yet but if you can locate the part or somthing close sometimes there is a link and it will give you a diagram. Hopefully that will help.
It looks like a coolant line based in size and the type of soft hose it goes to with that clamp. It’s just really large to be a vacuum.
Tough to say where it goes off of just the one picture though. Looks like it has some mounting hardware in the middle of the hard pipe. Try to figure out where it attaches maybe.
That wasn’t a ghetto fix so keep your remarks to yourself if it was directed towards my recommendation.
Even the S4s have vacuum ports on the IM that are not used…and they are capped off from the factory, with a cap just like I linked.
Some of us work on cars and some of us pay to get the work done, no need to make smart ass comments on things you know nothing about.
Lout just make sure it is indeed a vacuum line that goes to the IM.
Maddog, that type of clamp is used everywhere…vacuum, coolant, power steering, the hard piping reminds me of the S4 vacuum lines that run down the sides of the IM too.
