The company was started when a group of Apr employees left and stole apr’s intellectual property to start revo and sell Apr code as their own.

Amazing how many people who purchase Revo don’t know that. But then again, how many of them would actually care?
It’s a bit yawn. In my industry there is litigation galore, it’s funny what gets classified as intellectual property. Half the patents (sometimes more) are usually invalidated and it’s very often we launch product at risk. Big headlines a few years ago that earned our team a nice bonus, we got to make a product for a month before the injunction, our owner made $1B in that time, in the counter suit only had to pay half of it back. Good times. There are plenty of arguments both ways and to say one side is clearly stealing from the other is pretty rare and ignorant.

Ironic that you were the one crying double standard about the ecutool vag cables. You just posted supporting REVO, then mentioned you work at a company that copies other companies’ work, and is legally forced to stop doing so (and to make restitution).

Actually the plus of JHMs marketing is they understand this and don’t seem to get involved in petty battles on the forums.
As for my work, if you like to look at it simplistically, that’s your choice. Making patents stretch 20+ years is a reality and a legal struggle, and often companies are paid to not challenge patents even. You want to say one is stealing? The government will say the other guys are colluding. Maybe you can simplify the litigation and make the laws for everyone since your opinion is right.
As for the Chinese VAG cable copies that use the actual ROSS Tech software illegally, I couldn’t care less that you buy them and recommend them. You know, the same companies that make odometer programming tools on the same website you recommended. Lol. Your choice. I just remarked that it’s ironic what gets classified as piracy.
