Just curious, what is it about the Milltek that sucks for the RS4?
Similarly, I don’t think the B8 model has any performance value - just sound.

on the B8 S4, you can get away with making a shitty exhaust because frankly none of them help much as the supercharger makes the magic happen and overcomes mildly restrictive exhaust setups. Cats even.
on a naturally aspirated car such as an B67 S4 or B78 RS4/5, you are relying on the exhaust to help the efficiency of the system. Taking air into the motor to make power is hurt by in3fficient exhaust manifolds/headers, downpipes, cats and catback. It is also helped if you improve it.
An efficient exhaust can literally help draw more air into the motor than something less efficient.
So, with the Milltek on the RS4, they basically made a worse quality catback that is the same size as stock. It’s a complete and utter waste of money. It’s also poorly designed with jagged bends. It sounds nice, which is the only redeeming feature. On a B8 S4, if it sounds best, it’s probably the best catback to own. On a B7 Rs4, sound is important, but there are a couple of other far superior performing choices that also sound fantastic.

This struck me as funny yesterday. He was explaining why he bought the janky ass Unitronic RS4 tune.
[quote=NastyNogaro]I’m the guy that’s willing to pay whatever it is to have the right parts put on the car.

Really? Hmmm…let’s see.
[quote]I bought the Milltek exhaust

Whoa…another terrible purchase. Maybe the quintessential ‘wrong’ exhaust to buy for an RS4.
Hopefully he was willing to ‘pay whatever’ to have the right downpipes though…
[quote=NastyNogaro]Anyways, I emailed XS to see what the deal is with these. But yes, as soon as I get them and install them, you can certainly use my OEM dps.

Oh snap…he bought the shitty chinese ebay downpipes that are known to not fit and rust like fuck (but only cost $199)
Wow, that’s pretty embarrassing. I guess all his other mods are ‘the right parts’…aren’t they?

Gotcha - that makes sense.

It’s the same on the RS5. The Milltek is 2.37" I think. AWE has a 2.5" full exhaust. Kline is a 2.75" I think.
Needs moar options!
2.75 works well on these 4.2 FSI high revving motors. Hopefully Danny@Fast Intentions makes you guys one with JHM.

2.75 + JHM tune on an RS5 will insane.

Found this hilarious photoshop attempt… check out the wheel pic: rotor is not even centred with wheel, lighting on top of the tire is just plain wrong and the perspective of the lugs are off. An obvious fake.
Worst of all, it has a PES SC… lol
