so he went 12.77 @ 111 with an Eaton M112 and JHM headers?
a few years ago he went 12.77 @ 110 with an Eaton M90 and piggies
Just shows…the blowers are maxed out, and no matter what mods you throw at them, it’s not going to fix the blower (although the M112 should have more headroom than this…and we should give him a few kicks at it to perfect it).
I told ngng this years ago that he should have stopped modding when he got the JHM headers because his car wouldn’t go much faster than that with the M90. Basically the M90 forces a volume of air while headers create efficiency to flow CFM that is probably 98% of what the M90 is able to do. So you may get a tiny bump adding an M90 to a headers car but you’re not going to see much value…just a smaller bank account. When you add headers to an M90 car, it’s a virtual waste of money if power is your goal. It may help a tiny bit, but reality is that you just wasted thousands.
Here’s VWricer’s old run.
VWRCER B6 S4 4.2 Manual 93 PES gutted stock/3.0" custom PES SC (M90) 7 lbs 12.77 @ 110.3 1.81
Anyway, kudos to VWrcer for posting up his result. Also good to see his car is running again. I believe his engine blew with the PES kit on it. Not sure what happened.
