Even though our tuning may be worth more, we are still a company would rather have people running tunes that work than make a profit. The B6-B7 S4 is getting older and the younger generations are getting their hands on them. Pretty soon people will be looking for stolen tunes and Chinese Supercharger Kits.
We have record of all of the customers who have issues, if someone claims they are having issues and cannot provide proof or have a record of contact with us, there won’t be anything we can do for them.
[QUOTE=TarlCabot;9169299]Sorry… but that is exactly what i am talking about… it does not TAKE much cutting other than cleaning up and being consistent in the bore size (Audi did not… considering there are three dif sized pistons)
my point is… what ever size available, it doesn’t have to be pretty, SIZE doesn’t matter…lol, drop a new sleeve and smaller pistons, forged internals… stroke it, MOAR SC and tune it!
nuff said… how hard does it have to be, i know the 40v head is very limited, i know JHM has already ported the (oem) IM to the best of its ability… the heads can be cleaned up and a little more cut on the intake valves (not worth it to me) and that is stage 1/2 at best vs stage 2/3, but drop in a stroked/forged crank, little block cleaning and were talking 700+hp safe…
just my own humble opinion

guy knows it all, lets all send him some blocks, he’ll have built motors for us all in a 2 weeks
Lol, I was just about to comment on this guy. I thnk he PMed me about doing my valve stem seals a while ago. I’ve been noticing his “know it all attitude” as of late. I think he has been around for like months…lol He comments on every technical thread just guessing at resolutions…says it’s your timing components a lot! He also went to the strip like one time but gives drag strip tips out like he is John Force.
Ya it’s so fucking easy to sleeve these blocks JHM… WTF? Look how many guys have talked about doing their own build…and where are they now? With Vanilla ice and the Amish?
So before, we were sending the ECU’s and it was jay’s time to get the chip soldered and returned same day. Now presumably they are paying APR to use their servers as well as customer support - reckon their costs went up or down? I guess they have more time to work on other things as well now.
Having met the guys and knowing what goes on with r&d, the tune is worth more for sire!
Well of course we need to make something for our time. You wont believe how much time i spend on the phone with customers explaining how to install the cable drivers, even though it is explained clearly in the instructions.

So all of the sudden this Bitchy, err I mean Mitchy dude bumps my 1+ month old thread just to pump up his ego and teach me about dragstrips, magazine times, short times, how less weight hurts a cars acceleration, DSG’s superiority, etc. He is like the westwest of the TTRS world… Shit he doesn’t even own his RS anymore… lol
Crail is a runway that is used as a dragstrip on Sundays. it’s not certified by the NHRA or IHRA, or even close. IT has some tires lining the sides and some rickety timing stuff. Youtube it. It’s funny.
There were guys running Eaton M90 Rs4 times there of around 11.5-116 seconds, when the M90 never broke 12.40 anywhere else. It’s a joke to take times from Crail seroiusly vs NHRA/IHRA tracks. It’s the only thing the guys in Scotland have though, so they get pretty touchy about it if you slag it off.
Saying ‘it’s certified’ because someone local ‘certified’ it is funny. Just explain that it needs to be NHRA or IHRA certified before anyone uses a time to compare to the NHRA/IHRA times on other lists.
