They’re probably just not being honest about trying anything bigger than 2.5. I will bet a case of Coke they didn’t try 2.75. It’s a bit of a nightmare to get 2.75, make it fit, etc.

Instead, I would guess they did the math (on margins), tested 2.50 and found some gains…and were assuaged by the soothesayers who told them there aren’t many hp/tq gains to be had on an NA car…and then pushed out the 2.50 thinking they’d be competitive.

It sounds great their exhaust. I just don’t see the point in a $4,000 stock replica. They’ve sold a bunch of them though, so not everyone thinks like me.

Sales jargin is what and why they sold stuff… they sell a exhaust that is smaller then stock in some places and hardley bigger then stock in others…gmg just push it out there and use the were gmg look at all the stuff we make by our exhaust it has to be good…

That was extremely obvious. Hence my question in the thread for evidence for them to come to their “conclusion” from all the “R&D” they did. Complete BS! They did NO R&D, copied what everyone was doing and then claim they did all sorts of R&D. Fuck I hate those kind of canned responses that are complete lies. Don’t fucking tell us you tried a whole bunch of permutations in a controlled environment, logged everything and came to a scientific conclusion based on data.

The sad thing is that people actually fall for that crap.

it’s pretty funny how people worship ADV1. Seems like they deliver on time, which is better than any of these other small wheel companies seem to be able to do. Rotiform and Forgestar are a disaster.

As soon as I saw those ADV wheels I thought about the B7 A4 ti wheels too. Looks very similar. 15 spokes too. There’s a Champion wheel that is very similar as well.

edit: holy shit…These ADVs are a total ripjob on those , right down to the pentagram centre hub. Did Champion become ADV or something? If not, those are definitely reps.

Arin has been discussing this kit with us on audirevolution, asking what data we want, sharing some information about it’s development with us etc for the past year. The site members have supported everything APR does, because APR is doing it right.

The angry bitter guys like BenSTI or RS4power are making cracks as if people on this site will be all angry that an APR RS4 knocked it out of the park and ran 10.60. See how out of touch they are? They think that if it’s not JHM, it gets arbitrarily hated on.

Let’s look at that in the small world of RS4 superchargers

PES - got hated on for being fucking terrible

VF - got hated on for being fucking terrible

TTS - got loads of support and members from audirevolution actually made the TTS success public on other sites including audizoo, quattrofail, a5oc. Does that sound like AR members hate TTS to you?

AMD - got praise for performance, but hated on for Jason being a collossal douchebag. Interestingly the AMD guys loved to shit on APR for the ‘small’ 1740 blower. Well newsflash dickbreath…APR just kicked the shit out of your time, just like JHM did.

So in reality, the site has railed against PES and VF, and has taken jason@amd personally to task for being a jerkoff (but welcomed his partner Jon Cohen and thanked him for contributing), but is supportive of the other producers who are doing it right.
