lulz on other forums (current, not classics)

Haha now flying fuckwad is Shitting on avant garde and rotiform for replicating other companies’ designs.

Last time I checked, flying fuckwad has ADV wheels doesn’t he?

Which ones does fuckwad have?

And of course after BWT owns the shit out of fuckwad, the standard quattroworld douchebag retaliation is ‘you don’t even own an rs4’

Yes we all know you need to own the same car as someone so you can call out their douchebaggery. What a moron.

PS BWT FTW and FTFTMFL

LuLz fro all:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FUCKING MARINE CORPS!!!

Euro; Happy Birthday sir.

^^ didn’t want to create my own thread so ya… ;D

You are right, I remember when the F.i used to have it in the precat location. I’m not sure when they changed it, but it was quite a while ago.

I’m shocked anyone is still even buying hfc for the b6/7 anymore though. It seems it’s a pretty solid consensus that piggies will perform as well if not better than most hfc offering. And the gain on even something like the f.i. HFC version are minimal, if at all, compared to piggies. Piggies, catless, or headers is the only real options to me for the b6/7 platform.

From my experience, theres NO real noticeable performance difference between piggies and HFCs. I started out with full catless piggies and then upgraded to a used set of catless milltek DPs; the ONLY real difference is audible, raspy versus throaty.

That’s a little different though. He was referring to Piggies (piggies are pre-cats gutted, but main cats in tact). If you gut them both, it’s just gutted stock downpipes) vs. catted after market downpipes.

Did this slip under the laugh radar?

GMG’s reply…

I guess JHM and everyone is wrong, all RS4s get the max benefit from 2.5" exhaust which is .15" greater than stock, which contradicts his statement in itself

Jake should pop in and dump graphs to why 2.75" is the size of choice

Lol indeed

“as a general rule you can increase your diameter 0.25-0.50” to increase horsepower"

Ok… So why did you increase your diameter on the gmg catback by only 0.1377"?

(stock cat back is 2.362" or 60 mm)

For that matter, why did you choose to SHRINK the stock downpipes size from 2.62" to 2.50"?

( stock downpipes are 2.62")

Flow quality bro. Gotta balance flow capacity and velocity by making some things smaller.

It’s funny. We’ve had testing of NA B6 and B7 S4s that showed the cars did great with NO exhaust.

Justincredible’s car with tiptronic and nitrous was a good one. Picked up 2 MPH and 2 tenths when he took the exhaust off the car. Open headers. Must have sounded terrifying lol. But at the end of the day, ther needs to be a balance between sound level and sound quality, and performance. On an RS4, that is NOT 2.5" because I can tell you the Milltek and GMG et al that insist 2.5 is ‘optimal’ (or in other words, cheaper readily available pipe) are just as loud if not louder than the 2.75" JHM system.

It’s just a bunch of faux technical speak to cover up their shortcoming.

That was extremely obvious. Hence my question in the thread for evidence for them to come to their “conclusion” from all the “R&D” they did. Complete BS! They did NO R&D, copied what everyone was doing and then claim they did all sorts of R&D. Fuck I hate those kind of canned responses that are complete lies. Don’t fucking tell us you tried a whole bunch of permutations in a controlled environment, logged everything and came to a scientific conclusion based on data.

The sad thing is that people actually fall for that crap.

Still waiting for them to answer my post lol
