lulz on other forums (current, not classics)

That kid is a fucking idiot, it is painful to read his posts.

Well, I’m glad he’s an idiot cause it’s something I honestly never really thought of myself. Not that I drive like an ass to be worried about this happening to me at any point in my life though.

I suppose the problem is that many people think the cars are just bullet proof and can handle anything you throw at them or that some kind of “safety” will kick in before you damage something.

Kinda off topic, but along similar lines… how do rally cars handle the steering fluid stress? Do they have massive coolers or reservoirs? Special fluid?

Unassisted steering perhaps?

Well, yea, ok if you remove the equipment the equipment can’t be a problem but that doesn’t really address the issue I am asking about. I understand true race cars ditch all that driver friendly stuff, but there are plenty of rally cars that have power steering.

Let’s assume we are talking about the assisted steering versions of rally cars.

From what I have been able to find, it seems that two modifications to help the issue are to increase the flow of the steering fluid and change the steering rack ratio. Wondering if anyone is familiar with other methods. I’m thinking a maybe a large cooler, but I have no experience with this so I don’t know…

From my local regional forum:

Watch the LR Discovery that creeps in after he does his circle and then owns OPs air time; a true laugh out loud moment.

No the problem is full lock steering. That’s all. It gets starved.

It’s not to do with weather or anything

These kids go when it snowed to do donuts and full lock the steering. For 20-30 seconds and kill it.

Slow I’m glad the camera smash was a laugh out loud moment…I cracked up.

It was painful to watch up until that though, someone needs to go who them how to actually have fun. The damn TT just drove in circles the whole damn time.

All I could picture was the fat dude sweating from turning the wheel while he made horrible attempts to get his car sideways…lol was that meow?

these SSAC people are relentless

You should’ve been there when he (Klum00) installed those 3" SSAC downpipes on his B5. I hosted a DIY GtG at my rental townhome when I was going through the academy; lets just say an entire day later, the pipes didn’t sit well and the sound they made was awesome at first but obnoxiously loud after 10min.

The dumb shit like the projectchinab5fail apparently dont get what makes parts make power add in the fact you have kids wanting power but not knowing how things work…its a recipe for these people to get ripped off…the china headers are just like all the other bs china knock off headers…look at fhe domestic china attempts…they fail for the same reason…they don’t make the headers right…they bank on people thinking that they look close enough that will do it…

PES failure boy is also a POS scammer.

It was pretty dumb not to inspect it upon receiving the flywheel, but that thing is pretty banged up.

Funny too, he says it should be in perfect working order…remember he is the same guy who put a PES supercharger on his car…why not use the flywheel if he had it? Because it was fucked up?

This really surprises you?

Also any time a person states that they are not Wal-Mart in a defensive fashion I automatically assume that they are a total piece of shit.

Is that the engineer guy?

Unfortunately engineer guy lied about condition (and doesn’t understand what is wrong with it)…but kookie didn’t file a paypal claim till it was too late.

I wonder where the flywheel came from originally?

The defense doesn’t even make sense. Wal-Mart is a wildly successful business.

[QUOTE=Spiral;9361353]Even looking at the pictures you posted I would still run it. I am pretty sure that a some aluminum marring as you showed is not going to throw it out of balance. Hook up a CPS an inch away from the tone ring, apply an excitation voltage and check the output on the oscilloscope. I am sure that scrape on the tone ring won’t create any noticeable distortion as for a square wave coming from the CPS.

Haha, he’s not denying that he sent out a shitty, badly used product in this post…can one plead the e-5th on the internet? Because anything he says further is just more self incrimination that he KNOWINGLY screwed over OP.

He’s saying he’s not WalMart…so he doesn’t have a no-questions-asked return policy and thus doesn’t need to deal with the buyer. Caveat Emptor and all that.
