That kid is a fucking idiot, it is painful to read his posts.

Well, I’m glad he’s an idiot cause it’s something I honestly never really thought of myself. Not that I drive like an ass to be worried about this happening to me at any point in my life though.

I suppose the problem is that many people think the cars are just bullet proof and can handle anything you throw at them or that some kind of “safety” will kick in before you damage something.

Kinda off topic, but along similar lines… how do rally cars handle the steering fluid stress? Do they have massive coolers or reservoirs? Special fluid?

Unassisted steering perhaps?

Well, yea, ok if you remove the equipment the equipment can’t be a problem but that doesn’t really address the issue I am asking about. I understand true race cars ditch all that driver friendly stuff, but there are plenty of rally cars that have power steering.

Let’s assume we are talking about the assisted steering versions of rally cars.

From what I have been able to find, it seems that two modifications to help the issue are to increase the flow of the steering fluid and change the steering rack ratio. Wondering if anyone is familiar with other methods. I’m thinking a maybe a large cooler, but I have no experience with this so I don’t know…

From my local regional forum:

Watch the LR Discovery that creeps in after he does his circle and then owns OPs air time; a true laugh out loud moment.

No the problem is full lock steering. That’s all. It gets starved.

It’s not to do with weather or anything

These kids go when it snowed to do donuts and full lock the steering. For 20-30 seconds and kill it.

Slow I’m glad the camera smash was a laugh out loud moment…I cracked up.

It was painful to watch up until that though, someone needs to go who them how to actually have fun. The damn TT just drove in circles the whole damn time.

All I could picture was the fat dude sweating from turning the wheel while he made horrible attempts to get his car sideways…lol was that meow?

these SSAC people are relentless

LOL… Nice to know that I helped cause bpp to get rid of his S4…

You should’ve been there when he (Klum00) installed those 3" SSAC downpipes on his B5. I hosted a DIY GtG at my rental townhome when I was going through the academy; lets just say an entire day later, the pipes didn’t sit well and the sound they made was awesome at first but obnoxiously loud after 10min.

Unfortunately he will stick around and still comment on things like he knows stuff. It happens all the time…trust me. I know I’m kinda like the “pot calling the kettle” right now, but I think I usually add decent points to discussions.

That is the most pathetic thing Iver ever seen.

So…a grown ass man…a grandfather in fact…has sold his $50,000 car because some people on a car forum asked him for data.

What the fuck . What an insecure, weak, pathetic pussy. This guy is old enough that he probably fought in Vietnam. Is that even fucking possible… That someone who was drafted into the military and fought a war is now weak enough that he sold a car because a TOTAL stranger’s post on the Internet rubbed him the wrong way???

Wonder what happened to the asp stage II pulley/tune lol

Or maybe the ASP tune caused a bunch of problems, and he figured the ‘selling because people on the internet hurt my feelings’ excuse was better than admitting it was a garbage tune.

Just a theory :stuck_out_tongue:

The dumb shit like the projectchinab5fail apparently dont get what makes parts make power add in the fact you have kids wanting power but not knowing how things work…its a recipe for these people to get ripped off…the china headers are just like all the other bs china knock off headers…look at fhe domestic china attempts…they fail for the same reason…they don’t make the headers right…they bank on people thinking that they look close enough that will do it…

That’s unfortunate. I guess we’ll never get info now.

Seeing as how ASP basically said they’re not going to continue with B8 development because primetime was mean (yes they claimed they’re stepping away from the absolute greatest Audi tuning market in 10 years because primetime challenged them to prove that their parts work), I think it’s a safe bet that they failed miserably. If you could write a tune for the B8, even if you’re ugly, and really mean to people, as long as you open that bypass valve you would sell 100 tunes over a couple of years . The car will gain 40-50 hp even if you do nothing else. That will sell for $800 easily…and that is the easiest $80,000 in revenue your shop will ever see. Tools will set you back a few bucks, sure, but honestly, anyone who says they are not continuing in the B8 market is covering up a problem.

[quote=“Grimkreg”]So here it is. Was drifting in a parking lot and did some donuts. After this my car didnt want to turn. I cleaned out the wheels and everything and even took it and sprayed them out. Still having the problem and i dont see anymore snow. I went to get on the highway and she shook at about 70+ mph so i got off. At low speeds i have to fight to move the wheel. Near the hydrolock fluid on the drivers side there was yellowish liquid on my headlight and surrounding area and i opened it and it looked the same color and was low. I have no codes or anything but oil light came on but thats not uncommon for me. Ideas?

lol, and it happens again. seems every year some new guy burns up the power steering pump in his 8E S4 every year once the snow comes
