Isn’t there a range limit to how much timing the ECU can advance or retard? +/- a certain amount. If the revo tune asks for a lot of timing I would think it wouldn’t be able to retard the timing as much as it should for lower octane gas.

Can’t say we could get more than 2 running B5 S4s so it wouldn’t make sense to include them, but if the entire audizine B5 forum wants to pool parts and get one running B5 together it’s more than welcome to join. I say this in jest of course. everytime we get 5-10 cars to hit the strip we have B6/7/8 guys come out and never, ever, ever get a B5 S4 to actually show up. It’s weird, because if you read the b5 forums, they are the greatest of all time.

His latest post was him verbally confirming that he ran 100oct the whole time. Hopefully clues some people in to the fact that their tune pulls a ton of timing on lower octanes… which is scary.
Honestly, I wouldn’t trust a word that dude speaks regardless… I know the couple Revo 100 tune logs I looked at showed 40ish+ timing advance with little to no pull at or around redline… That is quite a bit more than the 104 tune on my car shows… Oh and mine doesn’t misfire 168 times in a 1/4 mile pass…
What would be scary about pulling timing? That means safety is working.
What’s scary is when it DOESN’T pull timing because safety has been desensitized and knocks a hole in the block.
