Maybe you should. Sounds like a good idea. They’re not bad to deal with. I did this in university. Wrote about econoboxes (stuff university students might by) for the newspaper from a student’s point of view. Wasn’t too hard to get loaner cars. Ask for a loaner R8 though and it may be a different story. Hard part was getting the article through…it was always 'well, so and so advertises quite a bit with Southam Corporation so could you tone this and this down a bit? Money makes the world go round, and this includes printing presses.
Frankly I dont get the impression that his job is all about talking cars etc. It’s basically dealing with people complaining about getting scammed in classified ads, complaining about getting infractions, complaining about other people NOT getting infractions, and all around whining about hurt feelings. It’s a business and shit flows up when you’re a one man show. You have to deal with everything.
When he started the site, it was what you described…a fun way to connect, talk shop, have fun with cars. Of course it paid him about as much as you get paid today to talk shop with enthusiasts and have fun with cars.
As for your karma, you have a few hundred -karma worthy posts here. These ones are not even top 50.
