Wrong!

Mick is fat broke and stupid. Someone should wake him up feed him his chrispy cream and coffee then inform him he isn’t helpful still

Yeah, he is the reincarnation of ‘ELEVENS’ in the Rs4 world. An old as fuck guy who thinks he’s going to waltz in and everyone will say ‘way to go’ because he bought something for $3,000.

Unfortunately those guys also end up reminscing and waxing poetic about their good old days. In ELEVENS’ case, he ended up making up stories and plaguerizing articles written by other people. Total idiot.

Here’s skypilot’s post
I asked an old friend of mine about headers. He and I dragged raced cars as kids. He continued in the sport for years, even having his own Hot Rod TV show. Also progressed in the sport to Bonneville Slat Flats racing. Below is his opinion.

“Smoother and therefor more efficient exhaust flow. Most newer cars like your’s will typically have fairly efficient exhaust because they now seek engine efficiency to the max. If they make them for your car, go for it.”
So…his friend used to drag race, and therefore makes a generalization that applies to all headers? It’s like saying all food tastes great.

What if the diameter is all wrong and restrictive. What if the merge collector is poorly designed (or nonexistent). What if the lengths are all wrong and pulses are crashing into each other as a result?

Saki, you have no idea what you are talking about. His friend used to drag race! Clearly he is an expert in this subject matter as it relates to the S4.

It’s hard because you don’t want to ruin a guy’s day and tell his parts have been shown to be virtually worthless, but you have to remember there are also dozens of people watching who don’t know any better…and need to hear the facts. Or else they become the next guy to buy something they ought not to.

It’s truly amazing how much money people are willing to drop based on pretty pictures and ZERO research. Headers alone are expensive enough. Add install costs and/or time and it’s crazy that anyone would purchase them when there is proof that they do virtually nothing. It never hurts to be a pioneer and try out a new product when nobody else has, means permitting, but why waste the money when we already have facts that demonstrate negligible gains?

Primetime, your paddle shifters are being advertised on AZ again! Hopefully the mods aren’t sifting through drob’s PMs.

Another new Audi Forum???.. Seems to already be a couple failure…excuse me familiar names popping up : http://www.audienthusi.us/forum/

That was quattrofail

It’s funny mick was all kinds of wrong there, and nobody tried to correct him or say anything about his terrible information. That’s what is dangerous about places like that.

Here even if you’re saying in general something the majority agree with, if you’re wrong about one of the details, it will get corrected.

Wrong!

yeah, mixed impressions… they’re not for everyone so no biggie… drob and I worked through it on AW… Will see if they lock the post… I explained the backgroud story to him… dude shouldn’t get in trouble for posting a review but it is vendorzine after all so will see…

I think the black ones look fantastic btw. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet but may do so in the future.

.
They’re cool. I like how you can make them black so they disappear a bit because they’re kind of big (which is of course by design…that’s the whole point lol).

Wonder if the ocrabon guy could wrap them.

If you have a year to wait…
