lulz on other forums (current, not classics)

I agree with the anger due to not being able to afford it. I think the guy’s concern was someone buying air thinking it is now the best performance option.

Personally I’m curious to feel how it rides, I’ve been in a bagged mk6 gti, but it wasn’t properly setup at the time. when you went over a bump it would rebound weirdly and kind of floated.

There are many options for Air ride and one of those options (Accuair) does LOTS of marketing within the Audi community. Their marketing department should get a reward…Don Draper has nothing on them. IMO, that option isn’t the best. Using stock shocks (which that option does) on an air suspension is impossible other than within a very small height/spring rate range. Also, how does Accuair know how I want the ride vs the next guy. Multi-way damping is a must for a performance oriented air ride. There is also the level based vs pressure based vs a combination argument. My issue with Accuair is that you can be “level” but not the same pressure(spring rate). That’s not optimal for performance. I chose a Combo route…the possibility of both level and pressure based. You can satisfy the level sensors but it also has to equalize pressure sensors. Level is set and spring rate is properly set.

who is that qua77ro guy? is he the one who is always crowing about what a great driver he is?

Doesn’t he drive an A4 with an automatic transmission? Weird choice for such a sporting driver.

Yes, Avant. I believe he’s a certified instructor of some sort.

LOL, at WestWest’s comment … “this suspension wouldn’t make it one lap around a track.”

…what a fucking stooge

It seems like qua77ro has a beef with Reno for a very specific scenario.
From what I’m reading, it seems like he has nothing against air suspensions but has issues with Accuair claiming (or the article claiming) that air suspension performs better than static in a race track scenario only.

I liked his callout lol

That’s irrelevant.

Do you think high school basketball coaches are great players? Or that movie theatre ushers are great actors?

I was just adding additional info but I believe he also many years of track experience at a semi-professional level

Axel is right, he does seem to have a back story with Reno or Accuair.

Anthony jumped in, Accuair must have ran home and told mom.

accuair isn’t a vendor though…weird

BenSTI chimed in saying his JHM Stage 3 is slipping with his APR SC. Hmm…wtf would be mate a stage 3 with a sc boggles my mind.
