Yeah the APR “teaser” thread has gone way off track and downhill but I guess that is to be expected after 76 pages and over 1+ year… This one is funny though… Yeah someone really needs to put a 2.7TT motor into their “DCT” B8 so they can go low 10’s all day… Funny I don’t see many if any B5’s going that fast… lol Than you have the Guruman or whatever who is there to tell everyone they should get a GTR and the B8 S4 will never be able to compete? Really? No shit sherlock… But really please keep going with how cool, fast, etc your GTR is as I’m sure no one is aware of their performance… LOL

That community always gets into a frantic mess when the newer platforms show their dominance. It appears the B5 community should be putting 3.0t motors in their cars as the 3.0t seem more able to get into the mid 11 second range.

It’s all just a bunch of talk, B5 S4s struggle to go 12s nowadays, let alone 10s. A proper bolt-on B6/7 will take 99% of the B5s on the road, that leaves them absolutely no chance at taking a B8.

Also, what’s the weight difference between the B5 and B8? Couple hundred pounds? Not sure where that guy is getting “low 10s” from.

That’s pretty funny. A stock 996 traps ~115 , tune only should be 118-119, but any decent turbo upgrade done with injectors and he should be trapping at least 125 if not closer to 130.

?? 996 is generation nomenclature such as b5 b6 or e46. It’s pretty common to say 996tt when talking about the 996 generation 911tt. Most the guys refer to them as 993tt/996tt/997tt bc those platforms are only 911 codes and the TT is considered the turbo model. Gt2 would be stated differently.

Having driven a 996tt with X package against a B8 S4, I can tell you this is hilariously false.

The P-car runs away from the Audi in all situations by at least 10 car lengths.

All true but a dsg bi s4 can embarrass a lot of fast cars if the other driver is rowing gears and isn’t very proficient.
