lulz on other forums (current, not classics)

It’s becoming a mess though.

He works at a shop that sells Giac tunes so he probably got it for free. A while ago he posted in one of his many threads that the previous owner made the exhaust. It has 3" downpipes with a 2.5" catback. That guy is cheap as shit.

There are just so many reasons in this thread to never go read audizine.

He literally says it a dozen times. Then we get these neanderthal key-mashing, cheeto-dust-on-their-fingers-having, idjyits that come in and write a novel for a post like theyre bringng some new information to light, some new shit, on a company we already know blew ass.

just getting redundant, thats all

It’s like immigration. “Let me in this new country but close the door behind me so that no one else can get in”.

In this case it’s basically “Tell me about the scams so that I don’t fall for them but once I know them, don’t bother repeating them for members who sign up after me. I don’t want to hear information being repeated”.

AZ is riddled with either clueless or selfish people or both (luckily not all but too high an amount). I guess that’s simply a representation of human kind.

^based on his join date, he wasn’t even around for the worst of it. Those type seem to be the worst, been around long enough to think they know without actually having any context.

There’s a fine line between ignoring AZ and trying to smack down some of the misinformation that can happen over there.

Very true. Hats off to all you guys. When all the good contributors leave the nuts run wild. There’s definitely a need for real information over there. I suppose my outlook is more point the interested people here let the nuts stay there and talk to themselves.

It’s becoming a mess though.
yea the BRZ and the FRS look good but are shitty cars they are like having a RS4 with a I-5 engine in there. i was looking at one of them until i found out it has a turd of an engine in there. They need the wrx motor in there for performance. Its like driving a golf with a 2.0 in it lol

based on feedback from 91gl the BRZ motors are actually brickshithouses

It’s painful to read the complete denial and utter stupidity of those people. They’re constantly posting to convince themselves that their really not that stupid.when in fact…

That’s me on AZ when I’m at home. Except its hot cheeto dust ;D

That’s because on the wrx you can get a 450 dollar tune that will give you some gains. So that engine is “great”. The brz is “bad” because you can’t mod it for power if you’re either

A) dumb
B) poor and in high school

another PES story, since they seem to be pretty popular around here

The thread is actually about a twin turbo R8 build, that seems to still be in the works after over three years. But anyway, the R8 owner originally went with a PES kit for his 4.2 as one of the early adopters, and it kept leaking coolant when he took it to the track. Assistance from PES was virtually NIL.

Yep, I had one of the early superchargers made for the R8 and while it produced more power, it didn’t hold up well under heavy stress (i.e. track use). I had coolant leaks from all over the place, mostly from hose clamps. Once I located one and tightened it, another would form. And the main intercooler on top of the engine block leaked quite a bit as well. Not sure if it bled into the motor, but it at least leaked on top of the motor (see attached pic). So you could smell it the whole time after a track session, but couldn’t see it. It was annoying. It was clear that it wasn’t going to work for me, so I got rid of it.

Dude…

No offer to help me out, other than a few recommendations over the phone on what I can have a local tech/tuner try. No offer to reimburse me for all the time I spent having things diagnosed and fixed.

I did not have a warranty, I did not have a guarantee. That is my harsh lesson learned.

If I were PES, I would have flown my ass over here and fixed the problem. A flight from Philly to Seattle would have been worth risking the reputation. I was the third car they did, and they knew I would generate some exposure from the forums as well as from it being so visible on the local tracks here (hence, how you and NorthVan can vouch for the issues I’ve had). I don’t get it.
