They are now arguing with each other in the most passive aggressive tone imaginable.
I sort of don’t know why I need either of those new parts - the tranny insert or the diff insert. 034 has them done but they’re still calling around looking for cars to test them on.
Yeah it’s pretty funny.
People with the chassis brace. Worth it, or waste of time and money?
Someone I know tested one and said it was useless. People who buy them seem to love them but people who bought eurocode headers loved them too… And we all know those are worthless.
Pretty funny.
Everytime I tall to the jhm guys I tell them to charge 750 for a tune. Charge another 100 for launch assist.
They are apple. They make the clear category killer in the market, and their customer base supports the fuck out of them. People are happy. In fact they make apple look terrible if you compare jhm B67 tune vs APR, GIAC, UNITRAGIC, Etc vs apple and their handset rivals.
They need to charge more, not less. They’re selling far too cheaply. If a few kids won’t pay more than 500, that’s fine. You don’t kill your business to cater to the cheap.
I have installed a bunch of the Eurocode braces and I think that it is worth it. That is the only thing from Eurocode that I recommend.
Agreed. There’s also the part where group buys only make sense for corporeal products, a group buy on software does nothing for the vendor.
I’m pretty disappointed with Jake and JHM after reading that.
I looked under my seat and didn’t find a single llama.
I like the sub frame brace too.

This must be yours. There were two llama’s under my seat.
I found a huge improvement from the AK brace. Steering became a lot tighter. It might be more beneficial on the S4 than cars like the RS5 (which appear to have beefier stock braces). I’ve also got the sway bars/solid end links and the performance is great. Only downside is there are no grease nipples on the brackets to make bushing lubrication easy.
I like the way EC runs their operation, they include replacement bolts and good instructions. Then spend time on the forums to help support. Their stuff is a little pricey but they have group buys. They are a top fabricator shop for the B8 in my opinion. But I get why everyone here thinks they are shady because of the headers.
There are more then one issues that have people thinking eurocode is shady and wont do business with with them. I have never been a fan but that isnt right to copy someones work. The reason given by 034 is kinda week on how they are different.
to copy something isnt good for the platform. some see it as good due to the thought that its advance in the platform and you might see some better prices. all in all its just bad. In this its hard to say if 034 just saw opportunity or if this was something that had in the works for a while. I know 034 makes other braces for cars but that too seems like a knock off as well.

If you get why some people don’t think much of them (because of the headers) how can you call them a top fabricator???
Either you don’t get it why people don’t respect them, or you don’t have a very high standard to cover before you pin a ‘top fabricator’ ribbon someone’s shirt.
Mine was in the trunk…guess he liked the space of the hatch
It’s hard to charge a lot in Sacramento. People in San Francisco seriously pay $600 to get their car waxed. A bit rich. They could distribute through a shop here and charge $1k all day.

it’s not that tough when you’re dominating a marketplace, which JHM does in the 4.2 space. A6/8 4.2; S4/5 4.2; RS4/5 4.2 - they are all dominated by JHM, and if you’re within 2 states of JHM, that’s who you’re dealing with in all likelihood.
Not really a LOL per se, but I fucking hate when people just straight up copy others work. Looks like a copy of JHMs knob. Put a little thought into it and come up with your own design, how hard could it be :

That guy is local to me too… I saw him post on facebook awhile back saying he could make more if people wanted them
report the post, I bet anthony wouldn’t like him advertising his website in the ad. weird choice to use Al, same temperature issues as steel with none of the weight. personally, as much as I liked my JHM knob in the A6, I think the BFI one will end up in my Golf.
I really like those BFI knobs. I liked my JHM knob until most of the paint rubbed off and started to look like shit.
