haha…idiots
the “2.7s are bulletproof” post was funny ;D
and it gets better
[QUOTE=ChaseS4;10854739]I’m new to the 4.2 and honestly Audi’s in general. I love the cars but I see here that you all are talking about a “timing job”. What exactly does that mean and/or entale? I’m at 71k on my S4 B6 currently and I’m trying to head off anything prior to it happening.
Any feedback on this would be awesome. Just curious on what exactly a “timing job” is and when exactly all of you recommend doing one. Thanks!
I’ve also noticed that I eat through oil, about a quart every 600. Running full synthetic 5W-40, this is normal I assume? I am going on a pretty long road trip this upcoming weekend, is it necessary to bring a bunch of extra oil, and should I stop to ensure the engine isn’t too low?

Pretty funny.
Everytime I tall to the jhm guys I tell them to charge 750 for a tune. Charge another 100 for launch assist.
They are apple. They make the clear category killer in the market, and their customer base supports the fuck out of them. People are happy. In fact they make apple look terrible if you compare jhm B67 tune vs APR, GIAC, UNITRAGIC, Etc vs apple and their handset rivals.
They need to charge more, not less. They’re selling far too cheaply. If a few kids won’t pay more than 500, that’s fine. You don’t kill your business to cater to the cheap.
Agreed. There’s also the part where group buys only make sense for corporeal products, a group buy on software does nothing for the vendor.
I’m pretty disappointed with Jake and JHM after reading that.
I looked under my seat and didn’t find a single llama.
This must be yours. There were two llama’s under my seat.
Mine was in the trunk…guess he liked the space of the hatch
It’s hard to charge a lot in Sacramento. People in San Francisco seriously pay $600 to get their car waxed. A bit rich. They could distribute through a shop here and charge $1k all day.
it’s not that tough when you’re dominating a marketplace, which JHM does in the 4.2 space. A6/8 4.2; S4/5 4.2; RS4/5 4.2 - they are all dominated by JHM, and if you’re within 2 states of JHM, that’s who you’re dealing with in all likelihood.
034 motorsports released a drivetrain stabilizer for the B8 S4 and B8.5 S4
EuroScum…sorry eurocode, who for some reason think they have a patent on drivetrain stabilizers, were not happy that 034 was cutting their grass…so they released a series of mounts similar to the 034 mount lineup, but at half the cost
Of course they’re just cad drawings…aka vapourware…but it’s funny to watch them get bent out of shape.
That’s quite lame.
Wow that’s kinda messed up… and so it starts hmm I wonder how this will play out.
