lulz on other forums (current, not classics)

some one saying A heavier crank pulley makes more hp over a lighter solid pulley… Well chalk that up as this years first dumbest thing posted yet. Not only does that make zero sense its not even close to being true. If the B8 guys just keep making up stuff becuase they are that dumb when it comes to how things work that becomes the backwards movement for the platform.

The saving grace is guys like primetime that actually go prove things work or dont work. If it was up to the guys that just guess because they dont know what they are talking about. Everyone would have a spoof box turned up to 10 trying to use it to tune there 13 second stock air box car.

Might be the funniest claim I’ve ever seen from a forum sponsor (although he isn’t a forum sponsor).

He claims that a dampened crank pulley adds 20-25 whp over a solid crank pulley.

Is this guy fucking for real? As usual the morons on AZ lap it up, and when I made fun of him for it, they jumped on me as being mean lol.

Almost as funny is JRAN76 being a little bitch and posting 5 times that he knows I was posting on AZ. Fucking tattle tale rat much? lol

This is the MK5 R32 turbo crowd and history will repeat itself so I am going to call a prediction from now.
Audi B8 S4 with either a 7 speed DSG or 8 speed automatic going from a billet pulley with 0 torsional vibration reduction capabilities to a Fluidampr will see a 20-25whp gain on the dyno under the same conditions.

the dummy doesn’t even know the B8 S4 is DSG only, no 8 speed automatic.

Wow Jran is definitely a bitch x2

Maybe he agrees with the morons.

Well stage 1 software is a 100whp gain in his mind, so if you convert that into real world numbers his pulley would be a 10whp gain. Not a crazy claim.

I wonder how far the group buy will get lmao.

[QUOTE=Bootleg25Q;11319024]I’ll make this as short, and simple as possible.

My 2007 RS4 motor is blown. The motor had a JHM TUNE, and was otherwise stock.

The tune has been on the car for approximately 1 year and 20k miles.

I began having an intermittent misfire on cylinder 3. MIL started coming on and would stay solid for a few minutes every few drives. I replaced all 8 spark plugs, and all 8 ignition coils.

2 days later, the misfire(s) spread to almost every cylinder, triggered a flashing MIL, and immediately started hesitating/shaking the whole car.

Saturday morning I had a Leak Down test performed: cylinder 3 had 55 PSI. Boroscope showed the top of the piston is fried and cylinder walls are badly scored. In addition, several other cylinders were dangerously low compression and also beginning to show scoring. Multiple different reputable (including some that are Audi certified) mechanics have agreed that this is a detonation issue caused by the timing of the JHM Tune.

My motor was inspected and tested in February and the motor was deemed healthy at the time the JHM Tune was flashed. It had 115k miles.

I’m only 48 hours into compiling the documentation for my motor. I’m also just beginning to collect documentation from multiple people who have blown their RS4 motors that had the JHM TUNE.

I am astonished at how quickly people have started coming forward when they heard about my motor and had the same suspicions regarding their BLOWN MOTOR and JHM TUNE.

If you have experienced issues that are, or that you suspect are related to a JHM Tune, please send me a PM.

Audizine is about the most predictable place on earth, so let me address a couple things before the band of merry men start spewing:

  1. “Your car was under maintained” - My maintenance was up to date.
    • Carbon clean – Performed December 2014, 25k miles ago (5k miles prior to JHM Tune being flashed)
    • Ignition – All 8 Spark Plugs and all 8 Ignition Coils replaced December 2014, 25k miles ago
    • Fuel – Pumps tested and Filter replaced, February 2015 20k miles ago.
    • Fluids – Oil changes at 4k mile intervals M1 0W-40. Transmission and Brake fluids flushed February 2015, 20 miles ago.

  2. “Your car is high mileage” – I won’t waste my breath on this until the first idiot decides to use this crutch. This is not a 130k mile motor. It was healthy and maintained at the time the tune was flashed. Of the 10+ people that have come forward, every single motor has different mileage (very low, and high).

He took a 110,000 mile car with no mods, and then tuned it

no exhaust work? Isn’t that recommended (at a minimum) to be done with a tune from JHM?

anyway, the 110,000 mile car with no mods, gets tuned, runs for a year and 20,000 miles, and then he has some major misfires and fries a piston. Piston destroys the block wall. At 130,000 miles.

They’re saying it’s because the tune caused detonation…but they say nothing about the fact that it ran fine for a year and 20,000 miles first? If my 9 year old car was bone stock and had 210,000 kms on it, and the engine died, I’d just say ‘them’s the breaks with an old ass car’. If I tuned my 8 year old car, and it had 180,000 kms on it and it ‘ran fine’ for 12 months and at 210,000 kms and then the engine suddenly died, I don’t think I’d go on a manhunt lol.

You would have to be pretty stupid to come to that conclusion that a tune after 20000 miles was the issue. A component failed and the missfires started. I started a RS4 investigation thread due to guys like this.

I can try to bump the thread but the short story is. Stock RS4 cars have blown there motors and stock rs4 cars have pinging issues stock. From what we have seen from recent injector testing it sounds more likely that he had a injector failure and that moved onto more issues. Its hard to tell when you dont have the car infront of you.

Kinda a open and shut case with a car with over 20k on it and a long long list of hundereds of guys with the tune and no issues. sounds like a bad case and someone looking for someone to blame

I think he’s insinuating a lawsuit.

He has 10s of… 1s… of people with the same issue. JHM blew up our motors!!!

http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=1839.0

I will just have to add the other non jhm tuned motor issues I found to the list I guess.

Lawsuit LOL he will spend more trying to get nothing out of JHM than he would just getting a new motor. Its a performance part and it says right on JHMs website they are not responsible for any issues related to performance parts.
