Lol… So all I need to do to go 10’s is have Eric create me a tune to bleed boost in 1st gear, so I can improve my short times since as we’ll know it’s not the cars strong point… That outta net me 4+ tenths… Glad he’s not keeping it to himself, that.02… Lol

And people wonder why platforms move backwards. It seems odd that some people see the long standing greatness in companys like APR or GIAC and they still go looking else where for something. Something new dosent mean something faster. Its good there are guys like you here and sites like this. It keeps the true excited members all working twords a real goal and its going to come to a point where the B8 is as fast as its going to be and there is a magic formula that is easy to follow. But the dumb people will always flock in and ruin common sense performance because nowadays common sense isnt so common

‘greatness’ is not a term I’d use for APR these days. They’re a decent option for performance but greatness isn’t realistic. That TCU tune debacle is the latest in a long line of failures of late ever since the company decided to fire 90% of the staff. The clear, hands down leaders in the 3.0T game to me are GIAC especially if you have a 2013-2016 S4/S5 since those cars need a TCU and the APR TCU is a joke.
Last time I checked APR have been getting it handed to them for the past couple of years on the B8 platform by GIAC.
The fastest APR B8 S4 took the lead by a hundredth of a second, but did so with the help of a dual pulley setup, a dual pulley custom tune, and a custom TCU tune that works on occasion but wrecks runs the rest of the time. The car is also driven by the most experienced driver in the entire B8 S4 world, and it only has around 10,000 miles on it. Yet it still only took the lead by only 1/100th of a second over an off the shelf GIAC tuned car with a single pulley.
Is this really greatness?
The funny part is GIAC was atop the leaderboard for months before APR got back there with the dual pulley idea…which was the creation of a GIAC customer (Jones2012S4). Not long after that an EPL car took the lead and if LOE can run his B8 S5 in decent DA, I think he’ll be the new leader.
So I’m not sure I’d throw the term greatness around so loosely.

I think I can, and I’m tempted. My worry is getting negative feedback in return. I’ve had my account for maybe 10 years and have never gotten anything but positive.
I do wanna fuck with him a bit. “and my dog ate my homework… that’s just as relevant, pay up” or “that sounds more like your brother’s problem than mine”
Reminds me of the kid on AZ that ordered JHM lightweight rotors on Sat, he got buyers remorse and emailed JHM on Sunday because he said he couldn’t afford $1300 for brakes and then he freaked when they charged him on Monday morning and wouldn’t refund him. He publicly bashed them before they even saw his email and he ended up looking like a complete fucking clown!
that guy was cancer. His reputation is garbage as a result.
In the process of coming out and admitting he’s an impulse buying moron who can’t afford fucking rotors for his formerly $50,000 car, he showed he’s a complete asshole. He’s about as much of a waste of skin as the guy who tried to crowdfund a new DSG transmission.
Frigging B8 S4 section has had some golden winners. Not that they all haven’t but the B8 section has really been stepping up their game ever since the cars got cheap lol.
