so your car isn’t loved by everyone. It’s not that big of a deal. You will live.

Ok I can forgive Sak for defending the old model this time. We definitely need a B8 bitch to one-up this. It’s fucking cocktoberfest around here.
Damn… What happened to her?
iirc she had sold to the RS4 to help pay for dental school… she’d be quite the welcome change to have leaning over you
Like the B5 progression … that rezmoto girl is the hottest manifested audi owner since 2009.
Another record still unbroken over that span.
LOL! Love how Will tells the OP that if he vboxed his car after adding their exhaust and intake he would see improvments since he didn’t see much on the dyno… Than he goes quiet after the OP asks him why they don’t use vbox #'s vs just posting dynos… Nothing like throwing yourself and/or the company you work for under the bus…
I live AWE’s infomercial style advertising.
Not so sure about that thread.
The guy dyno’d his car with an intake and exhaust, and showed a modest gain of something like 10 whp/10 wtq. Looks about right. What’s the big deal?
Auditude says dyno results are useless, which I think is pretty close to the truth for end users like us…who cares what the paper says. If the car is faster, that is what we are paying for…not paper charts.
AWE says the car would be faster if you pbox rather than dyno…I don’t think Will was saying the dyno doesn’t have a place or anything …I think he was just saying that while the gains look tiny on paper, they will be noticeable on pbox. As for why they don’t give pbox information for their parts, that’s a great question. The answer is simple - becase they own a dyno machine that they can control. It’s much easier to ‘prove’ your concept with a dyno than it is to actually get off your ass and drive the car to a dragstrip and actually be faster (when you might fuck up the driving or go on a shit night when its busy and hot). So do it right…plan to go on a quiet, cold saturday morning, kick some ass, and show us what the car can do.
I don’t get why they don’t all do it. The B8 S4 guys have actually embraced the quarter mile. Take advantage of that…nothing looks better than posting a tune + exhaust + intake time of 12.30@113 on pump gas…times that 450 hp cars like the Cadillac CTSv, MBC63 AMG, M3, RS5 etc would all be proud to post. It instantly lends credibility to a modification if it performs in a standardized real world test.
[QUOTE=slowdriver;8402881]Thank you Pier for making that offer to the OP.
Thank you Dennis for your positive feedback.
OP. For a fair comparison it is: JHM $3250 vs. $3350 EBW , as the EBW exhaust comes standard with V-bands for interchangeable of catless or not. While it is a $200 option on the JHM.
That said, with the EBW you get a brushed finish on all the piping of the exhaust and the stainless steel components also get a passivated treatment . This treatment removes all surface iron deposits on the surface of the stainless steel components, which makes your exhaust look new even with all the natural elements exposed to. One final touch incorporated with EBW you get a beautiful billet aluminum tip (the shape of the stock exhaust tip), that can be anodized to any color you wish. As for our mufflers, they are made by the same supplier that make’s GMG’s , but they are to EBW specification. Are these options worth $100 dollar difference ?
For those whom are going to bring up how long EBW has been established. That is a correct assessment. It takes time to build a reputation. We have a well established brand in the Porsche world. The only way to build a reputation is making kick ass products compare to our competitors. It does not happen over night. In my past life, I worked at a start-up where people said our product would never happen. Today, it is the hottest thing in the market with the best customer success in the industry.

lmao
He’s nuts
Report the post and SoCalS4Avant will enjoy banning him.
What he doesn’t understand is that all of the pretty finishes he claims they have, the JHM exhaust is excellent quality, and looks brilliant when its 2 years old.
At the end of the day, they both look great. The JHM has a proven history of high quality. The EBwerks is brand new. All we know is that their first exhaust, the one that was on Ben’s car is in such shitty shape that he took it off.
Further, when it comes to design, EB went with 2.75" after JHM proved the concept (even though Ben argued in the past that 2.5" was fine and that Milltek was an excellent option). JHM has a beautiful X pipe, placed exactly where it needs to be for maximum efficiency. Ebwerks has a boxy x-pipe and they paid no attention to where the X was placed, as was evidenced when the ‘head engineer’ (Ben, with ZERO engineering experience or qualifications lol) said online that the X just needs to be equidistant from both banks.
Travel farther down the exhaust line to the rear of the car, and the ebwerks inexplicably has a few sharp 90 degree bends. JHM? Flows perfectly into the straight through perforated core mufflers.
I don’t think it’s much of a debate frankly. If ebwekrs was $600 less than a JHM fullback, I wouldn’t bother with it. On these cars, the exhaust design, if you’re upgrading, needs to be done right. Otherwise, just leave your stocker on.
You’ll need one of these to go along with it:
that was awesome
This page of the thread was great until I got to the picture of Mick. Thanks Saki for ruining it while being on point.
Scary
Lol…yeah that pic was really creepy. I can help fix it…the best I can see as far as B8’s go.
wow thats bad, guess thats what happens when the knowledgeable people vacate
the best part is that I don’t think ANYONE has been right yet, other than the facepalm reference…that’s spot on.
