Wonder where he got his performance assumptions? Oh yeah the dyno sheets from the vendor… Nevermind the fastest B8 is on stock cats, and the next two on 034 hfc’s and than Imoloamonster in 4th… Hmm… Oh that’s right Imola and I went head to head, same track, same day, same fuel…
Mods were the same(APR 100 tune, intake, catback) except headers vs cats and I had a BBK but he had 18inch lighter wheels so that is an offset… I had the CPS but it was a cool day with a 450DA and 40 degree temps… Oh he gutted his car to the tune of 230+lbs… Result I ran best of 11.78 vs his 11.83… Average of our 6 passes I was over a tenth faster… Given my experience at the strip vs him being a newbie I’ll call it even… Headers anyone?
Then he slams USP for stealing the IP of Strat/Roc Euro… Really? How else are you supposed to make and intake? Did APR steal IP from Audi and than AWE steal IP from APR and than Injen steal IP from AWE? LOL The USP intake is different material, different bends, different filter, step down pipe… Keep shitting on companies for trying to improve the car, way to go dude… lol

So he is going to pair the headers that have debatable performance at best with a pulley, per Todd, “The product is currently under engineering review.” since March 5th of 2012, or nearly 1 year ago… LOL…
How do the headers make proven anything? Here’s what we’ve seen that suggests they’re adding anything
- Eurocode’s own dyno showing +20 whp - no offense, but have never, and will never, trust a shop’s ‘dyno’ as proof of anything. So that’s not proof of anything.
- Imola Monster’s slightly higher trap time than primetime ( I think 1 MPH?) however this is tainted as he had removed about 150 lbs of weight if I recall correctly, which could easily explain that discrepancy. So that’s not proof of anything.
- Richib86 dyno results…which had him making less power than stock cat cars if I recall correctly. So that’s not proof of anything
- Richib86 60-130 results…which had him slower than Tsivas’ car stage 2 with stock cats. So that’s not proof of anything.
- Richib86 1/4 mile result which had a solid trap speed of 114.97 which is quite good. This is proof that something good is happening, however we didn’t have any other similarly modded 6 speed cars there that day…and on top of that we have seen a couple of other cars (fonzie, tins5, 81bear) trap similar speeds on pump gas, some in worse DA. So that’s not proof of anything.
Granted richi’s car may have had a CPS problem in the 60-130 and a who knows what problem at the dyno day, but those problems only eliminate that data from proving the headers are WORSE than stock cats…it sure doesn’t help prove they’re working.
So where is the proof that these headers add delta? Seriously…anything other than Eurocode’s own dyno? This is eurocode, the guys who took their headers car to the strip, and ran high 12s to low 13s @ modest trap speeds, and buried the result (their hired gun driver accidentally blurted that out here in the middle of an argument ). Then they went to some tuner shootout at a weird ass dragstrip, and trapped like 114-115 a bunch fo times, but claimed one of the passes trapped 122 MPH (ET was around stock times lol) and flew that flag high

I think west is such an enlightened and accomplished engineer that he can’t sense sarcasm, or any attempt at a sense of humor. That is how he came up with the 470-490 bhp numbers for stage 3. Stage 2 s4’s on race gas are making 470hp now.
