lulz on other forums (current, not classics)

That’s a great question.

Seinfeld uses the name bob n his stand up a lot. Although he didn’t write hardly any episodes. He would however be there for table reads and would have done punch up work that might see him influence minor character names.

Larry David and Larry Charles wrote loads of episodes. They may have a bob connection.

jibberjivin’

Saki slipped one it several weeks ago with a “the camera likes stout”. I forget what thread. Good stuff.

But the littlest of research shows Bob spells his last name Sacamano. Who’s this Sakimano character ???

Edit: double post

Woohoo, Jr status = editing privelege reinstated.

I have used Sakimano as an alias since 1996. You know…before the internet lol. So nobody knew how anyone spelled anything fictional. No scripts. No IMDB. So I guessed.

The only sticker on my avant ;D

Buddy made them up to replace his mtb bike decals after he powder coated his frame.

My head hurts:

Can’t really blame him… People respond well to hearing things they want to hear.

‘why did my 600 whp car only go 12.2 @ 128’

'because audis aren’t made for the Dragstrip, and the Dragstrip isn’t a relevant benchmark, but let’s get your car on the dyno just to make sure it’s still great. ’

Not sure this won’t be changed/deleted by the time it’s read but I found it funny that someone on vendorzine, have to assume a moderator, deleted a post from audirings4 stating that they could find the same paddles for a fraction of the cost that Alex was offering… Alex then decided to explain, in his words, what happend between VZ, he and I during the whole paddle debacle but doesn’t address the deleted post… So a moderator just found that comment and decided to delete it w/o anyone reporting it… SURE!

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/534549-Upgraded-Shift-Paddles-B8-5-S4

I think Alex handled it pretty well, and even recommended you for B8 owners.

I don’t get the deleted post. What’d the guy say?

[quote=Alex@Europrice]I had zero to do with that, didn’t even know he made them at the time he was asked to stop selling here, but if you have a B8 you may want to link up with him on Audiworld or maybe Quattroworld where I’ve seen him post recently.

Agreed, but he acts like he didn’t know what happened when he is the one who reported me… The deleted post was audirings4 saying to get the part number and he has a source that can get them for a fraction of the cost… there one minute and gone the next…

hahaha nice

I don’t really get shit like that. If someone can get them way cheaper, it should help Alex out who ‘wishes he could have a lower cost’ on the parts.

perhaps there is more to it than just what’s on the surface.

  1. moderator protecting their advertiser. which they have the right to do.
  2. Alex may have an oem product that he modifies and it costs money, as in alot more. no different from comparing a cheap overseas sourced from a third party manufacturer vs an OEM quality part-CAPA certified, ISO TS16949… just a posibility. I get people trying to pull this crap on me all the time, but I get to explain the difference. but then again, there is a reason that people are compelled to shop at walmart- they wanna stretch their dollar, right?
or maybe Alex has some brick and mortar to pay for, compared to an ebay dropshipper? I don’t know
Alex has been honest with me. and unlike this website, perhaps a PM would have avoided the entire incident.

Yes, there is much more to it than appears on the surface and maybe you shouldn’t comment on things you really don’t have the background on… It pretty much can be summed up in your first point of vendorzine management trying to protect Alex and his outrageous pricing and profit margins at the expense of us dumb forum members… This is why I no longer post on vendorzine, I’m not banned I just choose not to support a site that gives infractions for trying to help others, lies to the community, and worst of all reads and deletes PM’s that don’t pertain to anything involving Alex! Alex runs to the moderators as soon as anyone talks about an alternative to his over priced products, a perfect example is the post that was deleted yesterday by a member who simply stated he could probably source the product cheaper… Alex reads this complains and sure enough post deleted… Same thing he did to me yet insists he has no part in it… Do you really think we are that naive?

As for the paddles being OEM, please point me to an Audi car that uses CF paddles… They don’t and there is no way that they are worth $699+ shipping and I could care less on his business model and the cost structure associated with it… That is his choice and problem… Also, just to be clear the paddles my brother and I made were developed at his shop which is in Mentor Ohio, not overseas… He used his CAD software, mills, wire machine, etc. Yet we are able to offer them at over 5 times lower cost than Alex and they are a nicer product! Take your ISO crap and stick it up your ass, my brother makes dies for GE, Ford, GM, and other Fortune 100 companies so don’t tell me about quality… He helped me and the other Audi owners by providing a good product at a fraction of the price! Just like we do in the Mustang world and will continue to do so in the Audi world if opportunities present themselves… Have a nice day!

[quote=“primetime,post:1319,topic:3079”]
what size dies (weight) does he typically make?

[quote=“beemercer,post:1320,topic:3079”]

beem, Not positive I’ll have to ask him… They are not huge by any means… I beleive they are mostly forming and cutting dies for smaller piecses parts…

Here’s one I just read on the Audizoo…

"i got a question about stage 2 GIAC with pulley…

if i do that how much can the OEM exhaust hold?
i mean do i have to change the exhaust system now or ca i wait a few months before doing it?

i wanted to go for stage 2 GIAC with Pulley, Injen Intake or Papercross intake filter
but one reseller here told me that im forced to change the exhaust system altso, and his price is over the limit…
the price for an AWE or Milltek is about 3 times more expensive than it should be…

so im thinking on leaving my car to my sponsor so that he can make me a new exhaust instead."

Wow! Seriously dude?!?!

You violated the terms of use that you agree to when you use the Audizine forum. Ironically you support it when you view the forum because the forum records you visit as a user and it is, in turn, collected as user data to assist potential businesses that may or may not decide to ADVERTISE with that forum. Don’t get angry about fairness, this is the real world and you pay to play when you advertise. so if you want more relevance on an internet search than your own website, and all of the quickie youtube videos a business can make and post up on the internet to increase your relevance with an organic search engine, then you will avoid advertising, but if you pay extra, you get the benefit of the exposure of the users from within a forum. i advertise within my local community, as well as contribute to a fund that helps me sponsor a sports talk show that is located in an expensive market, the SF bay area. The money required to advertise with is generated from PROFIT. The forum moderator is protecting their revenue stream.
The product Alex offers, does vary from what you offer, so it’s a comparison of apples to oranges. flat bottom steering wheel compared to a round steering wheel. one has carbon fiber paddles, the other is not. One is made by you or your brother, Alex may sub the work out to someone who performs excellent craftwork, like you and your brother offer but with a different meduim/material. Alex wrote that the flat bottom steering wheels his carbon paddles are for, don’t compete with your product, since his won’t work with a stock S4 steering wheel.
Part of Alex’s price is because VAG parts are typically expensive. for instance: I just blew a shock seal out on my S5 with 11k miles on it, the dealer wanted too much for one shock, so I purchased an entire set of aftermarket shocks.
Alex has a solid reputation and a good guy. You don’t have access to his financials, so your comment about his “profiteering” is without merit.
Your comment about ISO TS16949 up my ass? really, that’s your best zinger? how about the knowledge of your negative comment adds to the negativity of this forum that could prevent a sponsor from advertising upon this forum.
let’s review, you blasted Alex, who has offered to sell your product since has NO competing product with what you offer with these paddles. But you blasted him about his inferior product, that’s subjective. Then you dirt the Forum he’s willing to advertise with, because you violated the forums user agreement and tried to take business away, then rant off on this forum about your product is better.
Like Saki wrote, everyone that gets angry on this forum threatens to leave but keeps coming back, how about avoiding the forum you have a problem with and complying with their rules?

now how many run-on sentences did I have? dude, I’m not your enemy, just pointing some possible flaws with your arguements. and does anyone have the user agreement for this forum?

Sigh… So are you Alex? Are you on here for the sole purpose of badgering me about shift paddles? Really?
Yep technically I violated the precious forum rules on vendorzine and for that had my PM’s pilfered and deleted by Anthony or one of his hall monitors since the infractions and lies to the forum members weren’t enough… That is why I choose to leave, do I have some accountability in the situation? Of course I do and I understand that but I made my choice and it was to remove myself from the situation and leave the site… My loss anyway, right? After all these sites are created for advertisers, aren’t they? Ever think that w/o us dumb members there wouldn’t be any buyers? Interesting thought isn’t it?

As for some of your other comments I don’t want to be a vendor and sell a bunch of stuff, I wanted shift paddles for my B8 S4 and wasn’t willing to pay $699+ freight for two pieces of CF… So my brother mocked some up, made a set, tweaked them, tested, and I showed them to the forum… I had a bunch of people inquire so I sold some in an effort to help the community out and save them some cash. I have a full time job that fortunately pays me extremely well so I don’t need to worry about making money on the side, and my brother doesn’t need these side jobs either… Believe it or not there are actually some people out there that do this for a hobby and don’t mind helping other folks, novel concept eh? Thanks for the Marketing 101 lecture though…

As for my ISO comment, it was only made because you inferred an inferior product quality vs what Alex is selling… Now you admit that Alex doesn’t make anything, he is simply a middle man like WalMart, your other example… He has to fend off folks like me who can easily dis-intermediate him with superior products at a lower cost… I know more about ISO certifications than you ever will trust me so let’s not even go there…

Also, I didn’t blast Alex until he ran like a little boy to the moderators about me stealing his business and then when I told forum members what was going on Anthony had to do damage control for poor Alex because people weren’t happy that I would no longer be posting there… Believe it or not as much of a jerk as I may sound to you, some people actually like me posting and enjoy interacting with me… Shocking I know!
So now lets review what you are doing… You came here and basically blasted me for something that happened over a year ago on another site even though I haven’t posted there since… Stalk much? I only commented recently because I saw what Alex had the hall monitors do when another user mentioned getting a part for a lower price… Thought it was ironic that he was doing the same thing again even though he denies it… There is a term for that, it’s hypocrite…

God is the site owner so I am sure he will share the forum agreement with you just PM him… If he wants me to remove any comments or feels I shouldn’t post things in my signature then I’ll remove them… If he doesn’t want me on his forum I’ll pack up and go… See I come here to learn and try to help others by sharing my experiences, which is what I thought these sites were all about… I’ll go out on a limb and say that is why God created this one and he probably doesn’t give two shits about my paddles… Go ahead ask him…
