Made a little progress...

Impressive. How long did it take you to learn the mechanical skills do get this done?

Haha, honestly I couldn’t put a number on it. In 2005 I bought a 1.8T GLI which kind of started my obsession with cars. I have always been mechanical, but it’s all self taught throught the Internet, DIYs, and hands on. I am an electrician by trade, so I can take apart and repair communication and navigation equipment…so mechanical things just make sense. I guess it’s sort of a gift that I sometimes take for granted.

My uncle always says that I am like him…smart enough to be dangerous in the garage and dumb enough to try anything.

I have learned a lot from this repair and hopefully the motor runs as good as it looks. I’m hoping to land a new job and have this thing built in the next year.

Well…she lives! No back to my garage to bolt the exhaust on and finish up the little stuff…

Congrats dude, looking sharp!

Thanks Bango…

on a side note can anyone tell me how to embed a damn youtube video?

nice work. the first start after a motor pull is great feeling

No embedding

Just post the link, or host it on AR and you can post the message board code which has a link picture

Damn, ok…I tried to embed it from my dropbox…then youtube, I was getting pretty frustrated and felt like a dumbass

yeah I wish it would work

ok, nothing special but this is the rumble I could barely wait for…no exhaust obviously

Watch “B7 S4 First start…” on AudiRevolution.net

…and I gotta get some miles on this thing, then it’s time for fun!

The longer I own my car the more brazen at working in it, but I dont think I will ever go as far as gutting the whole front end!

Oh snap! I either didn’t realise or forgot you were going with the spray. I’m so fucking excited for this! Shame about the EA sticker though!

Lol who had that EA sticker?

That JHM nitrous kit doesn’t get enough attention. Supercharger performance for three grand. :open_mouth:

Was that the 91gl/Johnny Al Qaeda/DuNcan kit? Or the other northeast guy who went 12.3 or something then bought a Z06 kit? Jdubya? Who then sold it to that seventeen year old?

Or have you lost your fucking mind and are supporting EA?

:stuck_out_tongue:

Damn guys I’ll scrape the sticker already…need a V8revolution sticker! I got it from the kid…lol JDubya’s old kit…JHM supercharger power for a grand…

hahahahahahahahaha that’s the fucking buy of the century!!!

oh damn, thats quite the deal. What are you running for a clutch?

I want a JHM Nitrous kit for the RS4 so bad. Patience…patience…

Beem, new stock clutch right now…waiting to make sure everything is running good before I get in touch with Countvohn and the kit goes on. I just couldn’t pass it up for $1000. Granted I haggled the kid for a while but I believe I came on top of that one.

I’m not sure why they wouldn’t have developed a kit and plates at the same time as the S4 kit. Does it have something to do with the FSI? I really wanted to go the supercharger route by the end of this year, but things came up like usual…maybe I’ll talk to some people about a motor built for nitrous.

what jets are you going to run with that? Just be careful with the torque…it hits frigging hard

Saki I can’t remember what size jets I have, like I said I have spoke with Count and when the time comes I will be contacting him regarding my setup. I plan to go conservative at first for obvious reasons but I am not in a rush so I may be quiet until after the new year. I should hear back about that Rochester job soon so I may have to treat myself to a JHM LWFW/ clutch as a congratulatory gift and then meet you guys at TMP when the tracks open back up to help set some records.
