You look much improved from the one video I saw. Sounds like you had a few more rpms that you could have stayed in it for first but I dont think people understand how much tq these stage 2 cars make. I got to drive the local Rs4 stage 2 and its a lot of work and I know the S4 makes better down low tq then the S4.
Dont sweat the track. The post you made about trying to get down to the nov jhm event would be something cool. Anyways Im lovin the video and the updates keep em comming
Haha yeah I can confirm, that was it. Pretty awesome Supercar article was written about it. IIRC it was tuned by Quattro GMBH or something ridiculous like that with the PES kit
pretty sure it’s just your standard pes kit. I rode in it when my car was in his shop, not really crazy fast. But it was a crazy cat. Port injected meth, one of a kind bbk, paint matched euro rs4 seats, four point harnesses, and a sweet audio setup, I don’t know the details since I’m not crazy into audio.
Finally got the car back today. Put a new bumper, fender, and rocker panel on. Installed the carbon fiber relak side skirts finally. When it got here it was dirtier than a cocaine fueled hooker so I took it for a wash and then, for the first time in over 3 months, got some groceries.
Just getting used to driving it again. Seems quicker yes, just need to get through all this 91 in the car and put some 93 in it.
Thanks Jimmy, just gotta get some carbon fiber door blades and interior trim and I think the car will be complete finally.
Thanks man.
I sent the car to JHM back in March for a few things. I had to get the electrical cam adjuster unit replaced because it failed. That also caused the OEM mechanical cam adjusters to get wallowed out even though they had less than 5000 miles on them so I had the JHM mechanical adjusters installed. The ECU somehow got wet and became rusted so I had to get a new one. My transmission needed to be rebuilt. I got the new JHM Carbon synchros installed. I was gonna get the new JHM front LSD installed, but with the surprises the bill just got too high so I ended up passing on it.
I also got a full stage 2 93 octane tune for sea level flash. CV was also nice enough to write me a race gas tune so I can flash that on the car when I want. Today I also removed the mid pipes with the high flow cats and put the catless mid pipes in.
Jesus! Race fuel and race tune?! You know how to party!
Love your car, it is an amazing project thread. It’s cool to see guys like you who are helping to advance the platform, JHM makes great products but the stage 2 stuff is on another level. Can’t wait to see your 1320 numbers!
This is strictly for parking in the city to avoid a $100 parking ticket. Otherwise, the plate won’t be on the car. However, being the first time using it last night, I completely forgot to take it off before I started my drive home. It wasn’t until I was on the highway for 5 minutes before I realized I never pulled it off. Luckily, when I checked, it was still there surprisingly.
