Well, let’s focus on facts rather than effectively questioning members just to hold on to your theory on something. You can say ‘I don’t think you’re a liar’ right before calling someone a liar all you want…it doesn’t mean you didn’t call them a liar lol.
[quote=Audiacious]I’m not doubting you, but I think the majority of us would very much like to see a scanned copy of that service record moreso than a “copy and past” version that could be edited.

“I’m not doubting you, but I doubt you so jump through more hoops please”. You also spoke for ‘the majority’ of the forum, when I bet maybe 3 out of 50 people reading this thread are doubting the validity of the information, what with the other discussions around this issue from everyone from service advisors/managers to site advertisers and their contacts in Audi itself to the TSB from earlier this month being posted in the threads, all of which corroborates what hokie is saying. There’s not much doubt here at all dude.

jspazz, what do you think about TD1? What is your opinion of what it means to tuned cars? I get that you’re banging on hokie for being a knob, but I’m more interested in the actual information about TD1…my car would GREATLY benefit from a tune and exhaust to help me hold you off when we go to Cayuga lol.
So, to that end what do you say? Is hokie lying or misrepresenting TD1? (and why the fuck is it so similar to TDI right when I’m trying to buy a TDI Audi???)
Sorry to jump in on a prior post a little late (and in the middle of something), but I just signed up after reading for a few days and needed to wait a bit for signup approval (which was quick, thanks!). I saw this a few posts back:
[quote]Misfires = known issue
Replacing Injectors = common remedy

I’ve seen some missfires posted when scanning my 2010 S4 DSG, but have not come across any warnings on the dash. I’ve heard occasional misfires are normal but have no idea if that statement is accurate. So long as I don’t see any warnings on the dash, just ignore? Scan often, freak out, call the dealer with the results? Thanks for helping a noob.
I think people with RS4s see stored misfire codes without a CEL. They don’t seem to freak out.
I would also say I don’t think the dealer likes when you’re in there fucking around with/clearing fault codes.
Why don’t you post the code(s) here? “Random multiple misfires”?
I’ve scanned the misfire counter and I’ve seen it start counting up when I was logging at WOT. Didn’t seem too worried. But as Saki asked, is it a pending DTC or are you simply logging the counter block?
Saki, I don’t think Hokey is lying, but overstating the problems. I think that gets him into trouble, for sure. I can show you the 2-3 shift problem and it’s a minor issue that is unlikely Audi will fix. If you walk in a dealer (or a thread) making out like they owe you something, that’s the results you’ll get - warrantee void. As far as TD1 is concerned, he seems to one the only one who was flat out denied. The others on AZ that were flagged aren’t getting nailed to the wall by their dealer. There is still a people factor to consider here.
I will be out of warrantee in a year, and I am a believer in pay to play anyway. I am not a big fan of dealerships performing work (or independent shops for that matter, lol). I do most everything myself, and I have other cars to drive it shit hits the fan. If not, I have my local enterprise on speed dial, seriously.
that all makes sense. I voided my own warranty with a tune and full catless exhaust on my B7 S4 when it still had about a year left. You just have to roll the dice, and eat shit if it comes your way. Problem with the new cars is that the engines are so absurdly expensive. Because my B7 in 2010 was sharing an engine that had been out since 2003, there were tons of them out there, and if need be I could grab a replacement engine for $2000-4000. On the RS4 it’s a little less comfortable. There are zero extra engines floating around with only 2000 or so RS4s on the continent…so you end up ordering a new one at a cost of about $15,000 not including shipping or labour etc.
$15,600 if you want to be exact… lol

Here are the partial logs for the misfires:

Any thoughts would be great. Maybe this is ‘normal’ but I really don’t know. I don’t track the car or anything, just normal driving, stock. Someday I hope to go Stage 1 or more but not this year.
Hi folks. Still hoping for some thoughts and any info on ‘known issues’ with misfires. Maybe occasional misfires are normal? Thanks.
