yea after my gti, its hard going to another car. i have everything richi has, push button start, voice control, bluetooth, keyless entry, etc etc. its awesome not having to reach into your pocket to not unlock, or start the damn thing as well as never take your hands off the wheel. im just busting balls, i would never buy a b6/7 as a main car. b8 rs4/5, well now we’re talking cuz they have all those creature comforts
but i would take an rs4 over an rs5 any day. if they came out with two models same motor i would always go rs4, something about a 4 door raping true sports cars gets me all hot and bothered lol
don’t forget I had a B8 a year before all of you bitches. It’s not all its cracked up to be. For me anyway. The ipod integration actually works, so that’s a nice thing, but the rest of the interiors aren’t really making my head spin. They’re just solid. The technology is half of what a good Mercedes has, or even a new Lexus for that matter. Hell my friend plays his iPod on the big nav screen, while it sits in his pocket, via bluetooth. These cars will never be ‘all that’ tech wise. Get an A6 or A8 or S class if that floats your boat. New S6 would be pretty frigging killer once the count has had his way with it.
while i agree with you in that even cars like the acura tl have far superior tech, for what I’m looking for in a car, the s4/rs4 fits it to a T. I’m looking for awd, manual, powerful, and 4 doors. that leaves me with a very very narrow selection. audi or bmw, a4 or 3 series. since i can’t stand bmw, that narrows it down to audi. at 25 I’m not looking for a boat so that leaves me with the a4/s4. and with that in mind, the new s4 has the best tech in the search criteria I’m looking for. next rs4… I’m in, till then hairdryer it is ;D. I’m excited to get to the track in march to prove that this car can really be a contender on pump

The push button start is nice, but the voice control is stupid. At least the new MB system is. I hate waiting 5 fucing seconds between commands for that dumbass “command” bitch to read me all the damn chooses I can choose from. And you can turn that shit off. I just wish they make the tech in these cars for people who know how to use a damn computer at the very least. For now, all the systems are too dummie proof.
MB does have some other technologies that I will never be able to live without when I buy a car. Namely, radar cruise control and blind spot assist. The radar cruise is the best. Just set it and forget it. You literally never have to touch the pedals. Blind spot assist+lane departure warning+radar cruise allows for a relaxed driving experience. The radar cruise will slow/stop you. The departure warning will keep you in your lane via yaw-braking, and if you choose to change lanes, don’t even bother looking.

The voice control in my gti is great, I love it. I never use cruise control so I would never use that, I’d end up falling asleep.
Also never had a car with bad blindspots, so can’t comment on that
