My B6 S4 JHM SC Install

Great start!

keep going brotha!

dam that car is clean and well taken care of. You would never know how many miles that pony has. Great stuff.

Can you take a picture of all the parts that actually come with the Kit. I remember seeing all the stuff that comes with the kit. I don’t think people realize just how much stuff your getting for your money.

Thanks for all the comments!!

I will try to get a picture of the parts today. I remember when I first opened the boxes I was amazed at how many parts were involved.

Yeah I would love to see the parts as well.

Looking really good sir.

^ Thanks sir.

I got started later than planned today, but here is a pic of most of the parts. The missing items are the crank pulley, spark plugs, and injectors.

Looking forward to hearing how it goes. It’s a lot of stuff but it all started to fall into line. If I wasn’t there in person for my install, I’d be pretty baffled by half the stuff. I’ve pulled my whole unit off twice now and it’s pretty simplified by this point in time and that’s when you really realize how impressive of a kit it is.

Nice. Should be a fun install.

Yep, it definitely is fun. I slowed myself down today debating on whether I should replace the alternator or not (it is still the original), so I didn’t get as far as I would have liked. I did get the oil cooler adapter and lines in, changed the motor mounts and made the modifications to the inner fender well and the core support.

Yes do the alternator while you are in there! You have an 04 so that Delphi unit is junk. Mine went and it cost me 1200 to replace with a reman unit. JHM sells the Hitachi’s with the right hardware to do the swap for 695, which is a steal! Go for it

Ps, looking good so far, red is the fastest color!!!

Thanks 91!! Yep, I have the Delphi unit. I made up my mind that I will change the alternator since it is already off the car. I was hoping to get it ASAP, but I will be patient. In the mean time I will get all the other bits done until the new alt comes in.

Red = Fast ;D

Thats sick! I can’t wait to see one of those for the 3.0

Yeah, it would be nice to see that setup on the 3.0.

More progress made today. MAF wires extended, oil and power steering coolers mounted, began putting in the new AC lines, and a few other items done (I will post pictures later). I am keeping my fingers crossed that the alternator shows up tomorrow so the install can be finalized, but worst case I will do a test fit to make sure everything clears the blower, belt and hoses.

A few quick comments on the install - while there are a lot of parts involved, everything comes together nicely. This is a very well thought out/put together kit. My friends and I kept commenting on how it is a shame that some of the excellent machine work that was put into the brackets, spacers, and adapters will never be seen once everything is together…

Update - I was able to test fit the blower yesterday (without the alternator). All clearances look good. Again, I have to say how well thought out this kit is. The engineering that went into the bracket design is top notch!!

Lookin real good, I’m so jealous of all you sc guys!

Hope you get your alternator soon

What…no pics of the blower mounted up?!

Thanks!! As long as nothing strange happens I will have the alternator on Monday (keeping fingers crossed).

lol… I hear ya. Most of the pics were from Thursday except the last one. I was wrapping up and didn’t bring any of my cameras so I wasn’t taking pics throughout the day. I had pulled off the blower and the hoses in order to prep for the alt install, but as I was walking out I pulled out the phone to take a quick pic. I have to say it again, that bracket is a work of art.

Nice progresses! The more pics the better ;D

Looking nice man, Cant wait to see it all done and running.
