My B6 S4 JHM SC Install

Quick update - I did not spend any time on the car yesterday (my 3 year old’s birthday) and I only spent a couple of hours on the today. The new alternator came in and is installed. The bracket is officially in place. I also put in the SC tune. Tomorrow is the day to get everything else bolted together.

1 step at a time. The progress you’ve made is great, especially after not seeing any of it go before (other than their install kit obviously, but being there is a bit different).

It really is a shame the kit is so hidden though, it’s so pretty and no one but you gets to see it. The M5 S/C’s throw them up in the bay and you pop the hood and BAM it’s there. I pull my fog grill and people get a tiny peak at things, but not much more. With how much I pull my bumped, I’ve joked about pulling it at a big show before, but obviously won’t haha.

It’s a shame but great at the same time, it fools everyone!

I don’t know, IMO as awesome as it looks, was machined, performs, etc., I like that it’s tucked.

I’m really disappointed with the photo flow. I’m a visual guy…need pics!

I’m itching for a photo of that blower mounted up!

I’m jealous of you blower guys too!!! I’m itching to get one!!!

awesome job on the install so far! keep the pics coming!!

Pics coming later. I am almost done, but it’s not happening today… :-[

im pretty sure that ive come to the conclusion that in about a year or so i wanna pick up a b6 s4 for my project car. if i can find one for under $15k ill go for it.

They are more common than you think

my cap for the whole project would be 30k including the car.

are you kidding? You can find a B6 for 13-14 with miles on it. No problem. What would you do with it though?

30k will get you a B6 with supercharger/headers/jhm clutch combo/LW rear rotors/JHM front BBK/LW wheels

That would be one hell of a fucking car.

Or find a car with a blown motor of salvage title and buy it for 7k and ship it to JHM and go built STG3 for the budget or less. That’s only if you know you want to keep it for a while, but with the built program, you could replace everything even possibly in question.

He said he wants it in a year or so. Motor build won’t be done by then. LOK

It is getting closer. SC is bolted up, hoses run and AC lines connected. Me and ATW20/20 went to bolt up the core support and it needed to be shaved a bit more to clear the belt. And I had to reach out to JHM to get clarification on the placement of 1 part, but I have the answer now (thanks guys!!).

Off topic - I have been having issues uploading pics - anyone else experiencing this?

Damn that is just beautiful

^Lookin good! They’ve updated the idler pulleys since my kit, those look very nice.

Also, Jay trimmed my front core support from the car a bit more by the belt. I think you’ll be more than fine as that belt wrap doesn’t allow for hardly any slack, but just thought I’d mention it. Go back and check my install pics.

Absolute biggens man. Looks great!
