at Thursday, car is going to dyno, 4 runs, open and closed exhaust flap, 4th gear and 3th gear. after that pulling injectors - testing & cleaning, replacing intake manifold. when is all set back, again on dyno to see any difference

so today was that dayā¦ on second run, engine get some error and hughe power drop, so last two runs didnt go well, but - with open exhaust flaps it shows 9.8HP more

and job failā¦ i managed to pull out 4 injectors, other stuck like glued, also i did successful job, broke one cable fitting on injector but it still holding little, and 3 small pins for holding connector, plastic parts on injectors are in very bad condition, from heat and age they are fragile. so i just change seals on this 4 and place it back. some next time when engine will be out mechanic will play with themā¦ now waiting for IM, it should come today or tomorrow

What were you using to pull the injectors with?
They should all slide out easily if you are using the correct puller.
ECS Tuning sells an ok set for the backyard mechanic that only costs about what you would pay for a single injector.

My personal rule is if the correct tool for the job costs less than what you would pay to have a mechanic do it, then you buy the tool.
i get tool for removing from my mechanic, but i didnāt wanna overpull, also that ring over gap where tool is seating was start cracking,
this injector get broke just by pulling el. connection off

Its funny to see that a car that is almost 10 years old is still getting OEM parts made for it just less then 3 months ago. You can tell the new intakes have the blue tips on the flaps even tho its the same part number its different.
I agree. You can have all the proper removal tools you want but when you get all of the heat stress over the years you cant just pull them out even if you have the removal tool. You need to go though a long prossess of trying to carefully break the bond of the injector to the aluminum. With the extreem heat these motors see things can quickly become brittle. To get the injectors out its deffinitly a careful dance
I was looking for new injector, and probably that will be next job.
At local car parts shop, they can get OEM, one arround 221$, and non OEM for 85$.
Funny thing is that non OEM is manufactured by Hitachi, and it doesnāt have VW-AUDI logo.
And OEM is from Hitachi with VW-AUDI logo.
