NASTYS4: bringing the beast back to life

What’s up fellas, thought I’d share some stuff as I go through my build. I go by s4orgy on audizine. Owned two b5 2.8s before finally getting my hands on my dream car. Got it back in 2012 with 67k miles on it. Great story behind this car and how I got it but skip all that. First Mod was full exhaust. I bought a set of 2.5 a.w.e downpipes off of a member and gutted them. I Chose to “reinvent the wheel” as euroswagr would say/;D by building my own corsa exhaust instead of getting f.i. or magnaflow.http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/507879-LOoky-Here. When the guy at that exhaust shop staryed my car i could remember saying to myself was “holy sh!t is that my car”. Car felt like it was being choked out by the cats. Night and day difference performance wise compared to stock. But being catless the car seemed a little laggy down in the lower rpms. I then wanted to get rid of of the CEL so I went out and got my car tuned @ High Fidelity Auto Sport/shout-out to marc. Months later my camshaft needed to be replaced so I picked up a used cylinder head with low miles just to swap camshafts. During that time I bought 034’s engine mounts/track density, apikol snub mount/Track density, vcover gaskets.@ Around 85k miles or so I replaced all plugs with new ngk platinum plugs, all new coil packs from audi, new rear o2 sensors. Now I will be adding all of this to my car:

New Starter.

Great overhaul you have going on there! Any reason you went with Apikol for transmission mount instead of 034MS, just curious?

Seeing Brilliant Red B6 S4, reminds me of Ds ride… Ahh the times of broken hearts and records 8)

I like the build design more than the 034 mount

Fun stuff! Hard part is next!

I was wondering when this car would finally show up here. Good luck with the rest.

Are you still “high fidelity” tuned?.. ::slight_smile:

IIRC he runs JHM 93 tune now, and that other one was prior to JHM?

I probably should’ve worded it a little better but I went to high fidelity to have my car jhm 93 tuned w/Launch assist

Got the driveshaft off, just have to take the axles off n it should come on out

Looks like we are both going to be doing much of the same

I have nearly the same shopping lis lined up besides the IM, starter, and valve stem seals

I’m right now working on:

LWCP and new belt
mounts: trans, diff, motor, snub
timing: intermediate kit
oil check valves
front&rear crank seals
filters

…and now that I have my car in the air and started working I have found that I need a new axle as well…or at least a new CV boot kit

Finally got this fucker out, lol. Man im tired lol. Tryed to get the tranny out too but couldn’t get the axles off so I said fuck it & decided to just separate it from the engine while i had it resting partially on the sub frame with a jack on the other end where the trans mount is.

It’s gonna be a bitch to mate it back to the tranny man.

Looks great man its all a good pay off in the end. Lots of cool build and maimtamce threads.

It might be worth trying to get the transmission out for just mating it outside of the car.

love the wheels, OZ? best of luck with the work

yessir, they’re pretty light, my cars axles loves them

And so does the acceleration. I always liked the Oz rims but everyone says that crack.

My 18x8 Ultraleggeras haven’t, and I bought them used 3 years ago. ~15,000 miles/year with no problems. I didn’t even put my winters’ on this winter.
