I’m not much of a wheels guy, so maybe you guys can help me out. I need a cheap as possible LIGHT 18x8 wheel at least, the big problem is that I need it to clear my ECS stage 4 brakes (cayenne calipers), and a 245/40-18 tire. If someone can find me one that fits this bill, you will be my hero! I’ve been trying to figure this out forever. Maybe you guys might know someone with these brakes and running a nice cheap light 18 with 245’s. Any help is really appreciated!!!
I’m running 18x8 et 35 5x112 enkei rpf1’s that clear my cayenne brakes easy and weigh 17.8 lbs each. I own a shop in Bergen county, 15 minutes from gwb and 10 from Lincoln. I can get you those and whatever tires you want.
I was looking at those or the PF01’s also. I have Hoosier a6 245/40-18’s on the way-- I need to be able to have the car squat and the tire have room in the rear especially when I launch. I have found pricing on both these wheels for roughly $250 a wheel, can you do me better? If not, I might have to choke you! Lol. Thanks a lot for the help man, we’re getting somewhere already.
Lolol will these 100% fit with my brakes, and the tire size? Maybe get a higher offset in the rear to make sure the 245 Hoosiers can tuck, or whatever you think will be best? Can I avoid shipping by getting them from you, or would I need to pay shipping to you anyway, how would I pay, pay pal work? Last but not least, can you get me them in gold? Thanks for the help, I’m glad it’s a wheel guy with a shop helping me so we can make sure I’ll have no issues with the brakes or tires fitting. Much appreciated.
They’ll fit mint. I could do et45’s in the rear too if you want to tuck. You would have to pay for shipping anyway so I can just send them out to you for the same price lol. Gold is only in 5x114 unless you want me to get them powder coated for ya.
PayPal works. Send 1020 to primemotoringnj@gmail.com and I’ll order them up for you. Cover the PayPal fees or you can just gift it to me and avoid them all together.
Before I order them, will the PF01’s fit with better clearance overall? If they will maybe I should go with those, they are priced the same and only and 1lb heavier. Let me know bud, thanks!
No way to tell if they fit the same as the rpf1’s? So we only know that the rpf1’s will fit then right? I don’t think I want to gamble. I wish there was a way to find out, be nice to run 35 in the front and 45 in the back to give me extra clearance. But if you can’t find out for me, I can’t be ordering a set that might not fit.
Wheelin & dealing! man this thread woulda been shut down a long time ago on AZ
I’d also suggest the 245/35-18’s, it should help you’re rear end issue as well as give you a slight edge with the gearing & weight. Just something to think about. I’m running 30 profile on 18 for track, but only 225 (best I could find) so traction is an issue haha.
Thanks to Demetri for taking time to find me the right wheels at the right size and for a good price. I definitely do not want to choke him. So much easier and less stressful to get along like this and help eachother out.
Go for the RPF1’s. I have been searching for a light, strong, and affordable wheel for pretty much forever and i always end up with the RPF1. Tons of options if you have $3000 burning a hole in your pocket, but you cant beat the enkeis for the value
Gotcha, just didn’t know. I know you’ve probably tried about everything at the track!
I think you’ll be happy with the RP1’s, I bought 91’s old set b/c he wanted to change it up, then he went and bought another set b/c he liked them the most still haha. They really are sharp looking wheels and not too many people in the audi scene with them so they actually kinda pop some. (and yes, I know I need spacers for them)
