No way to tell if they fit the same as the rpf1’s? So we only know that the rpf1’s will fit then right? I don’t think I want to gamble. I wish there was a way to find out, be nice to run 35 in the front and 45 in the back to give me extra clearance. But if you can’t find out for me, I can’t be ordering a set that might not fit.
Wheelin & dealing! man this thread woulda been shut down a long time ago on AZ
I’d also suggest the 245/35-18’s, it should help you’re rear end issue as well as give you a slight edge with the gearing & weight. Just something to think about. I’m running 30 profile on 18 for track, but only 225 (best I could find) so traction is an issue haha.
Thanks to Demetri for taking time to find me the right wheels at the right size and for a good price. I definitely do not want to choke him. So much easier and less stressful to get along like this and help eachother out.
Go for the RPF1’s. I have been searching for a light, strong, and affordable wheel for pretty much forever and i always end up with the RPF1. Tons of options if you have $3000 burning a hole in your pocket, but you cant beat the enkeis for the value
Gotcha, just didn’t know. I know you’ve probably tried about everything at the track!
I think you’ll be happy with the RP1’s, I bought 91’s old set b/c he wanted to change it up, then he went and bought another set b/c he liked them the most still haha. They really are sharp looking wheels and not too many people in the audi scene with them so they actually kinda pop some. (and yes, I know I need spacers for them)
I went with the newer LPF1’s, they are designed to fit well with big brakes, so I’m hoping to get away with a 45 et all around. They are only .4 lbs heavier, and I think they’re a little classier looking than that rpf1’s which are more of a Motorsport wheel style. Let’s see how they work out. Thanks for the pic, the car looks real nice.
Ahhh, my bad. Yea those new ones do look pretty killer, and they have a different appeal to them. At first I hated the look of the RPF1 like mine, but then seeing them on the right car they grew on me. And once I saw them in person, it was hook line & sinker!
yea I’m not a huge fan of the RPF1’s, I like the PF01’s a little better… I honestly am just looking for an affordable wheel that will fit over my brakes and fit my tires… The look I’m not being very picky with, but I prefer the PF’s out the two wheels I think, on my car at least.
haha, thanks. Trust me, I was very skeptical, and even was regretting it as 91 was shipping them to me. Then once I pulled them out of the box (and was SHOCKED by the weight difference), they looked great and knew I’d be very happy.
And I think he means the PF1’s that BR & Dan both went to. Great looking wheel, but they just have a different feel. I’m not sure which one I like more actually.
The post right above you says PF01, was it that hard too figure out? lol… Sorry, like I said I’m not a wheel guy, never was… I have a custom set of DPE’s sitting in my garage, I despise them with the valve stems mounted on the barrel of the rim towards the inside… I had to get flush mount screw in valve stems, I pretty much have to take my wheels off to add or let out air with those wheels… The PEE EFF OH ONES are a few lbs lighter than my
dpe’s, 10+lbs lighter than the b6 s4 wheels I ran my 116@126mph on… It’ll be nice to free up 40lbs at least of unsprung weight.
