new clutch setup that looks promising

i dont think its a tuning thing, AWE sold there car off to a forum member with the pulley and tune on it

Hmmm… Well was that a 6-speed or DSG car? :stuck_out_tongue:

6 speed ha

Interesting… I recall another tuner having issues with the pulley on certain cars and I’m not referencing launch control issues either… Not like I had any personal experience with that or anything… LOL

fuck this I’m going down to the highschool down the street and bang some out in machine shop. Gotta supply this market!

u sure?

They are working on the issue… I have spoken to that fella in Buffalo with the Awe car.

I also spoke to GIAC today and we should see the release in a few days… We’ll see what happens.

Yeah we wil def be going… I believe the Revo car has a real chance in breaking into the 11’s on pump. Not deep into the 11’s but I would not be surprised if we saw an 11.99 pass. My car will not see the 11’s on pump Stage 1. Maybe a 12.2-12.3 pass but nothing more on 93. Now on 100 I might see a 12.0 pass but I can’t see breaking 11’s even on race. If the pulley is what GIAC is saying it is we should see some awesome results. Tsivas prob won’t run his car but I’ll try

And of course only 11.9X in the cold weather. The hot weather kills the Revo car. Wonder why? :stuck_out_tongue:

Can’t wait and see what the pulley has in it. Or maybe doesn’t

You know I will be using vag com on it the day u get. We shall see.

But the 18psi blow dryer hot air I heard can’t be sustained with 27 degrees of timing u have Stage 1 on 100.

Literally? LOL!

Lol didnt mean it like that lol but potentially lmao

Oh and Pete, please get the diameter of the pulley and post it before you install it or have it installed… Once we know the diameter will be able to tell how it compares to APR’s fairly easily… Also, if they don’t give you a puller kit let me know you can use mine if needed… Mine has been all over the country… It’s actually visiting Jersey now… LOL…

Killed one last summer

I showed it a good time in Chicago ;D

Thanks again!

No problem will definently do that. I’m also curious to see how it compares to APR. My Stage 1 file only seems slightly slower than Tsivas car and other APR Stage 2 cars so if they can nail this pulley I think it has really good potential. However I do have my doubts bc it’s been so long… Thanks Ron I’m probably gonna need it so I’ll email you when I need it, really appreciate that!

I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see an 11.9 B8 S4 time on pump. The TVSr1320 has done that on the Rs4 and S5 pretty comfortably. Sure the S4 is down a bunch of displacement, but 11.99 @ 116 should not be too crazy a goal.

Not sure about on an APR car but a few have been close. The other tuners seem to get more out of the cars. Especially where you guys are…near sea level, and open in February can = -1500 feet if you get lucky.

outside of that miracle from God/ amazing shift run (10.75)… all your times (average of about 15+ runs) have been 11.15-11.2 range  Only 1 run out of about 20 has been in 10s. Even more baffling is that the test pipes did horseshit.

I am averaging a 10.8 (60-130) on the 15 runs recorded. Even with my turtle shift. If you drove… you would see a much more discernable difference. (guaranteed 10.5-6 average). I might have you run my car when I get the updated flash/shifting thing fixed. We might see low 10s. Just don’t break it.

Yeah lol I’m down to run your car  if GIAC stage 2 can slightly out perform APR we should be able to see low 10’s high 9’s also… I’m praying lol

The Testpipes were epic failure… Which is shocking to me
