Haha no doubt. Is that turbobaby guy still posting on the forums? He was the blue Revo B8 that came to Cayuga once and ran 12.3x @ 114: http://youtu.be/WoCTPgHmTk8 I wonder if his engine survived the tune
My pops car ran a 12.06@118 on the vbox and ran a 12.4 with stock Exhaust and stock intake last year and Englishtown and atco. His car is running great he’s just very careful with it in hot weather
My Rs4 ran a 12.48 @ 112.1 on the pbox in frigid temperatures. Doesn’t mean a thing. Definitely doesn’t mean my car = other cars that run 12.4 @ 112, like a stage 2 B8 S4 on pump, or a GIAC or RECO B8 S4 on pump. I’d get raped by those cars in reality.
pbox does not equal dragstrip, no matter how much we wish it did
trap speeds on pbox are calculated nothing like on a dragstrip, so that’s out the window.
I will never be able to run at a dragstrip when it’s density altitude -2500 to -3500
My friend’s manual b8 is pretty much door to door with my RS4 in runs from 40-120. However My best pbox 60-130 on a dead flat road is 14.02, bone stock. The best stock B8 S4 on your list 16 seconds or something. Doesn’t mean I’d be comfortable saying I’m 2 seconds faster to 130 than a stock B8…just means when you test the car in epic density altitude, funny things happen.
My car went 12.7-12.8 @ 108-109 stock at the strip, but that 12.4@112 means just about nothing.
He went 12.35 @ 113.8, and shut it down because he was worried his car would explode lol. No symptoms…he just got it tuned and thought he’d test it out. once he rattled off a bunch of 12.4-12.3 runs, he felt like there’s no way it could be safe. In reality it could be just fine. It was just a funny comment. His car also had a couple of other things like very lw wheels I believe.
someone needs to point westwest to the east, to Tsivas, so he can see that great analysis/comparison he did between the REVO timing and the APR 1 and 2 timing requests.
Honestly if the situation was handled better yesterday on their part i would have stuck it through… However it was not in my opinion. So its APR sauce for me.
Pete, While I would like to have seen the GIAC results I probably would have done the same thing given how things were handled… That is why I said they should bring both of you in… If the pulley is ready than what is the harm… Now they lost a customer… I hope Arin hooked you up at a good price… Looking forward to the results…
Yeah it sucks. I understand. But there are a few reasons why they did it. You have too many variables on your car (CPS, test pipes, intake). Told you to wait Daniel-san. Do pulley first.
Also- We do publish our results on here/AZ and the product isn’t released yet.
The feed dyno graphs to the mass approach will sell pulleys. Not my OCD breakdown of vag com data and pbox results.
Will we every see results now? Who knows. I am working on getting some.
If I hadn’t made myself clear previously, let me attempt once more:
We are long past beta testing. The cars we were seeking right now were for marketing purposes. We simply needed dyno sheets of the latest and greatest GIAC file with our pulley. As we expressed in our email blast, these cars needed to be stock or only be equipped with AWE Tuning parts or GIAC software.
Your car is equipped with a bunch of competitor parts. We simply could not use it for marketing purposes.
However, as we said multiple times, we were still interested in having you install and demo the pulley and software after the release was completed.
It’s your choice, of course, what you want to do with your car, but I am not sure what actually happened here that has ticked you off so badly.
West means well I think but he is very confused by this platform. He seems very influenced by whatever shop he talks to about whatever mod he is thinking about doing. He cited a blog for his TB post. He just recently had his Milltek exhaust installed and acted as if he was the pioneer of that system.
He does track the hell out of his car though from what I can tell.
