Spoke to AWE and GIAC today. They are being very helpful and willing to make things right by me. I appreciate that much. I’ll update you guys on the status of my car
It’s not entirely clear what you’re looking to get out of the car. Do you want to be on the cutting edge, trying new things? Sounds like AWE/GIAC is the way to go. Then you’ll have some variety at the private strip for logging and vboxing. Which will be awesome to see no doubt.
Want a well sorted, fast car, with the benefit of hours of testing - then go APR. Watching AWE/GIAC monkey around with this situation and hunting for customer cars for marketing purposes seems a bit amateurish to me.
Plus where are stage 1 GIAC tune results? What makes us think that their stage 2 kit is going to be any good?
Tod@awe great to have u long time admiror of yourr work good to see you poping in amd help8ng. It’s heavy alright. When I was in Detroit when they took the engine out of an S5 4.2 FSI they weighed the flywheel. Picture of it on the scale should be here somewhere.
That is more than what I was quoted by JHM for a lightweight flywheel and stage four clutch kit for my friend’s car. Once you get the core charge back of course.
