New Member Intro...

Welcome always a warm welcome for interested members. Tons of technical guys over here. I’d love to have you share your thoughts on the difference between the tuned S4 and a stock RS5.

Greetings all,

Been registered on here since 2013. Been on Audizne since 2007. Been in the Audi world since 2005. First Audi was 2001 a4 1.8t , my ownership only lasted a year (Got tboned and she was written off…

Went to town on it. Did all the usual stuff full 2.0 motor build big turbo. Dyno’d it after it was all said and done ended up with 630@wheels, never got out to the track to see the acceleration data. The car was laggy 14psi was seen at almost 5,000rpm :-\ lol.

It was a nice car for what it was

Diego fantastic story. I’d love to hear more about the RS4 stunning car.

This site is in my experience one if not the best site for the Audi enthusiasts. Loads of experience and top members that really know their stuff. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the RS4 vs. Your last big turbo A4.

Welcome.

Welcome Dave and Diego!

Those are a couple awesome machines. The high revving, v8 Audi engines are so sweet.

Thank you! My S4 had a few mods (exhaust, intake) but I never went for a tune. Engine popped with ~ 1200 kms on it and required a complete replacement. After that, I was gun shy about doing anything major to it. The S4 and the RS are quite different - loved the low end torque on the S4, love the power on the RS up high in the revs. These cars require two different driving styles - I would have both if I could. Both great machines.

Thank you sir!

I know right? I’m sure we’ve all heard the arguments - old technology in the 4.2 (wrong), not FI, a tuned S4 will do laps around it, heavy, etc. I pay no mind to it.

I’d love to see pictures. Feel free to post a thread up and showcase that beauty.

Done! Added a thread to the A5/S5 category

Diego,
Awesome story and nice choice in your RS4!

Thank you for the kind words! The a4 was very laggy first you have no boost then all of a sudden like turning on a light switch nothing but boost. Very reminiscent of the old 90’s turbo charged cars like the F40. I had both front and rear lsd’s the the 4:1 center diff mod even swapped a 01E 6speed. Comparing the A4 to the RS4 is ridiculous. The A4 was far more powerful but none of it could be utilized.

The RS4 is a special car IMO. First car that I’ve owed that puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Before I first drove the rs I was under the impression that it wasn’t too different compared to the A4. Boy was I ever wrong lol totally different car even tho the chassis is the same.

So far every mod that Ive added to the RS has just enhanced the cars characteristics ever more so. I love this car and will be keeping it for a long while. Keeping an eye out for a second RS

Thank you Sir!! Looking forward to hearing your impressions of the JHM charger and as well seeing the end product after you have the Air ride and wheels put on. Washyourhands Rs turned out to be aesthetically pleasing. Can’t wait to see and hear your car when you get back home Marcus!!

Thanks…Every day is painfully slow as I pedal around this island. i should get to see it in December when I take leave.

Welcome to forum.

What up, Sophie.

Hallo all,

I am new to this forum 8)

Previously I used to drive a B6 A4 1.8T, and now I drive a VW Passat B7 Variant 2.0 TSI

Welcome!

Indeed welcome. Always room for more. Consider making a nice post in the vw section about your car. I’d have to guess its not stock.

Greetings all. There is much that I enjoy about the discussion threads here, particularly the level of information and knowledge possessed by many of the posters.

Welcome!
